Tropical Cooling Requirements (<55oC air onto fan)

4016-61TRG2 @ 1500 RPM 1985kWb Gross

Spill Timing 16O (Standard)

When engines are supplied as an Electrounit the customer must confirm their
radiator performance meets or exceeds the following:

Ambient temperature to air filters: 50 OC

Nominal Fan power (total for both circuits) 100 kWm
Cooling Air Temperature onto fan
(nominal & dependant radiator location) 55 OC

Jacket Water Circuit

Jacket water temperature out: nominal 85 OC

Jacket water temperature out: maximum 98 OC
Water flow: 1260 l/min
Pressure drop 30 kPa
Heat rejection (jacket water & Oil) 539 kWt

Secondary Water Circuit

Nominal fan power See Above

Cooling Air Temperature onto fan
(nominal & dependant radiator location) 55 OC
Water temperature to radiator from charge coolers 92 OC
Water temperature from radiator to charge coolers 76 OC
Secondary water flow 720 l/min
Secondary water pressure drop across radiator 60 kPa
Heat rejection to charge coolers 579 kWt

N.B. A fouling margin and duct allowance must be built in to suit the application.
Provision for condensate drain to be made.

Nominal maximum air onto fan 55 OC

Header tank pressure relief 69 kPa
Fuel cooler heat rejection 14 kWt
Fuel flow 22 l/min
Maximum temperature at fuel lift pump 58 OC
Radiated heat from engine 104 kWt

A radiator installed on the engine which cannot achieve this level of performance will
impact on the engine performance / durability.

An Applications appraisal would be required for customer supplied cooling groups.
