Disaster Risk Reduction Management in LGU, Nasipit Agusan del Norte

2. Narrate results of stakeholders’ interviews to support the existence of the problems for research.

Based on our interview to some of the resident in Nasipit, Agusan del Norte they said that the human
itself creates disastrous actions that leads risk in every human being in a certain society and cannot be
accommodated by the LGU because of the lack of resources such as equipment that may be use.

3. Briefly cite authors and their statements to support your problem which are your compelling reasons for the
study.

Natural disasters often accompany natural dangers. The severity of a catastrophe is determined by the
extent to which danger affects society and the environment. The lifestyle and environmental choices
determine the magnitude of the influence. These decisions affect how food is grown, where and how
dwellings are built, our kind of government, how our financial system operates, and even what is
taught in schools. Reduced exposure to dangers, decreased vulnerability of people and property,
prudent land and environmental management, and increased readiness for adverse occurrences
constitute instances of disaster risk reduction (National Meteorological and Hydrological Services,
2010).

4. As per literature, discuss how the problem can be solved.

We are going to coordinate the LGU-Nasipit specifically, the head of Disaster Risk Reduction Management to
and have a symposium among the residents in Nasipit in order to have a knowledge and awareness.
