Roxar Sacrificial Probe

Sand pulled from the reservoir is a major threat that limits the operators’ ability to ensure maximum uninterrupted production

Erosion Damage
Metal loss from excessive sand induced erosion causes critical loss of control and containment, due to
erosion on wellhead equipment and the inner surface of the pipe structure. Good monitoring of the in-
ternal condition of the pipework is essential to maximize production and reduce risks.

Product Overview
Emerson’s Roxar Sacrificial Probe is designed to provide
warnings when erosion exceeds a certain level in flow lines.
Excessive erosion increases the risk of unexpected leaks and
impacts both asset integrity and operational safety. As such,
oil and gas companies are focusing more on monitoring
sand and sand erosion in their process lines.
The Roxar Sacrificial Probe is a cost-effective solution to
quantify the impact from sand production within flow lines.

• Cost-effective way to monitor pipeline erosion – it is easy to install and monitor, thus
reducing CAPEX and OPEX

• Provides the ability to be used both offline and online for detecting significant erosion
in high velocity flow lines

• Easy to operate by field personnel, as direct measurements are provided intuitively
