TITLE : GUIDANCE COUNSELOR

REPORTS TO : Office of the Students Development


Services
Vice President for Academic Affairs
LOCATION : Guidance and Counseling Center

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


A. Conducts individual and group guidance and counseling.
1. Orients the students on school rules and regulations, personnel
services, and different school organizations.
2. Orients new students and transferees on adjustment with their
studies, relationship with teachers and classmates.
3. Conducts individual and group counseling to walk-ins and
referrals who have personal and academic problems.
4. Conducts initial interview to new students.
5. Conducts exit interview to graduating students.
6. Conducts career counseling to graduating students.

B. Makes follow-up of referral students.


1. Confers with teachers on the progress of their students and their
performance in school organizations.
2. Makes a follow-up with parents whenever necessary.

C. Confers with teacher-advisers/coordinators on behavioral problems of


student and their progress.

D. Confers with the SHS Principal and College Department Heads on


cases needing immediate action.

E. Confers with parents on behavioral problems and test results of their


children.

F. Administers tests and selected personality tests to students of his/


her respective departments.
1. Administers the tests.
2. Interprets the result to students, teachers, and parents.

G. Conducts Monthly Guidance Period to SHS classes.

H. Supervises training and development programs.


1. Conducts peer facilitator’s training to students both SHS and
College.
2. Conducts leadership trainings/seminars to the officers of different
organizations.

I. Coordinates with the HR and OSDS on conducting seminars for


teachers and students.
J. Prepares and submits monthly and annual reports to the VP for
Academic Affairs thru the OSDS.

K. Prepares and submits case reports to the OSDS and VP for Academic
Affairs whenever necessary.

L. Submits progress reports to the OSDS and VP for Academic Affairs


whenever required.

M. Attends the regular meetings called for by the OSDS and VP for
Academic Affairs.

N. Attends school academic and religious activities whenever required by


the President.

O. Prepares monthly materials for bulletin board display.

P. Consults the OSDS and VP for Academic Affairs on matters requiring


a decision.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. M.A. in Guidance and Counseling.
2. Licensed Guidance Counselor.
3. With a three-year experience in counseling.
4. Of good moral character.
5. Actively involved in the school activities.
TITLE : ASSISTANT GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
REPORTS TO : Office of the Students Development
Services
Vice President for Academic Affairs
THRU : Guidance Designate
LOCATION : Guidance and Counseling Center

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


A. Assists the Guidance Designate to conduct individual and group
guidance and counseling.

B. Assists the Guidance Designate to make follow-up of referral students.

C. Assists the Guidance Designate to confer with


teacher-advisers/coordinators on behavioral problems of student and
their progress.

D. Assists the Guidance Designate to confer with the SHS Principal and
College Department Heads on cases needing immediate action.

E. Assists the Guidance Designate to confer with parents on behavioral


problems and test results of their children.

F. Assists the Guidance Designate to administer tests and selected


personality tests to students of his/ her respective departments.

G. Assists the Guidance Designate to conduct Monthly Guidance Period


to SHS classes.

H. Assists the Guidance Designate to supervise training and development


programs.

I. Assists the Guidance Designate to coordinate with the HR and OSDS

J. Assists the Guidance Designate to prepare and submit monthly and
