Organizational Image

The Anthropological Society of Luzon (dubbed as KAnThRoPa; also known as AnthroPeers in


English) is an organization of archaeologists, researchers, scientists, professors, and students that
specialize in the four fields of anthropology designated in Luzon. Organizations from the two
other islands are called Anthropological Society of Visayas and Anthropological Society of
Mindanao.

The organization was founded during the year 1987 by John Doe in Diliman, Quezon City.
Today, KAnThroPa focuses on delivering services to the cultural aspects, understanding
biological anthropology studies, studying social means and interactions, and investigating
archaeological fossils and artifacts centred in the areas of Luzon regions.

Organizational Core Values


The Anthropological Society of Luzon follows the following Core Values: KATROPA.

K – Kindness

A – Assertiveness

T – Truthfulness

R – Responsibility

O – Objectivity

P – Prudence

A - Anthropology

Organizational members shall possess the following: kindness, assertiveness, (ability to promote
and hold) truth and responsibility, objectivity, prudence, (knowledge and/or expertise in)
anthropology. KINDNESS, PRUDENCE, TRUTHFULNESS, and RESPONSIBILITY must
be upheld in a way that our beneficiaries are given what they are due, in no bias whatsoever.
However, members must also be humanistic and empathetic whilst upholding these four.
ASSERTIVENESS and OBJECTIVIY shall be applied in a way that members know what to
do for those who are due. Lastly, ANTHROPOLOGY is the heart of this organization. Members
shall have enough knowledge in this field to practice the other values.

Organizational Mission and Vision


MISSION: Anthropological Society of Luzon provides various services to all sorts of
people in connection with the field of study. ASL aims to give any kind of support our cultural
areas need and to provide resources to researchers that will expand the appreciation and study of
Philippine human history and culture. ASL promotes sustainable and responsive research
extension, heritage and environment understanding towards national and geographical diversity.

VISION: Guided by the core values of Kindness, Assertiveness, Truthfulness,


Responsibility, Objectivity, Prudence, and Anthropology, Anthropological Society of Luzon
aims to be an accredited and known anthropological scholarly association in Asia.

Guiding Principles
I. What are we doing?

The Anthropological Society of Luzon plans on achieving the following:

 Preserve cultural entities whilst giving them what they are due.
 Promote anthropological researchers.
 Making cultural diversity even more visible in a national and global context
II. Why are we doing this?

The Anthropological Society of Luzon aims to achieve the said plans to preserve the
endangered cultural heritage of the Philippines whilst giving them publicity.

III. How do we do it?

The Anthropological Society of Luzon aims to achieve the said plans by recruiting members all
over the island, formulating creative ways to assist cultural entities and researchers, raising
awareness to the threat against cultural heritage and diversity, and providing financial aid and
funds to cultural provinces, areas, and scholarly students.
