Chapter 1 Overview

Thank you for choosing SYRUNS SY5000 series AC Drive!


SY5000 series AC Drive is a high-quality, multi-function, low-noise inverter
which is designed, developed and produced according to international standards.
It can meet different needs of industrial conditions. It is applied advanced control
technology of space voltage PWM, with functions of constant voltage control,
power-off restart, dead zone compensation, automatic slip compensation, on-line
modification parameter. It is also with compact structure, easy to install.
For safety, please read the manual thoroughly before using SY5000 series
AC Drive. Meanwhile, please retain the manual and you can use it when regulate,
maintain and inspect the equipment in future.
The manual provides using instruction of SY5000 series AC Drive:
1. SY5000-G series general purpose AC Drive
2. SY5000-P series fan and pump purpose AC Drive
3. SYB-U50, SYB-U100 braking unit
4. Remote control keypad and extention cable

1.1 Purchase verification

1.6 Precautions
1. The inverter just applies to general triple-phase AC induction motors or variable
frequency motors. The installation environment should be well ventilated.
2. It is a normal phenomenon that temperature and noise of the motor raise a little
higher than power frequency when use the inverter.
3. General motors can’t work long under low-speed.
4. Output terminal of the inverter cannot be connected with RC absorbing device,
such as capacitor, varistor, etc.
5. If install the contactor between the inverter and the motor, must ensure that the
inverter does not output when the contactor is on-off. Otherwise, it will damage
the inverter.
6. The inverter should be used derating if the altitude is higher than 1000 meters.
Derate 10% when the altitude rises 1500 meters.
7. The inverter is as industrial waste when scrap it. Please be careful:
(1)Inner polymer capacitors probably explode if set it on fire.
(2)Plastic pieces may produce toxic gases when burn it.

2.2.1 Disassembly and assembly of panel and keypad

1. Disassembly and assembly of small panel (terminal cover)


(1) Disassembly of small panel
As shown in Figure 2-3 (a), press two faces according to direction 1, meanwhile,
lift lower part of small panel according to direction 2.
(2) Assembly of small panel
As shown in Figure 2-3 (b),when assembly,firstly align small panel and big panel,
lean panels forward, embed bayonet shapes of panel in big panel, and then press
down the panels according to direction 2.

2. Disassembly and assembly of keypad


(1) Disassembly of keypad
As shown in Figure 2-4 (a), press the buckle on the side of keypad according to
direction 1, unhook it from big panel, lift it according to direction 2, and then get the
keypad.
(2) Assembly of keypad
As shown in Figure 2-4 (b), stick Digital Console from the 1 directions the claw
locker A(place 2), pressing to keep toward 2 directions immediately after hearing the
“click”voice, stick the claw locker B (place 2).

3. Disassembly and assembly of big panel


(1) Disassembly of big panel
As shown in Figure 2-5 (a), make an effort toward 1 direction to press the two side
of console support, in the meantime, please press 2 directions to lift console support
lower part.
(2) Assembly of big panel
As shown in Figure 2-5 (b) , console support head two cards hang up to block from
the 1 directions the hull body(place 2), press to keep toward 2 directions immediately
after hearing the“click”voice.
2.2.2 Disassembly and assembly of terminal housing and keypad (≥11 kW)
1. Disassembly and assembly of terminal housing
(1) Disassembly of terminal housing
Use standard No. 1 crosshead screwdriver to take off two M4 screw bolts (as shown
in Figure 2-6 (a)), and then you can remove the terminal housings.
(2) Assembly of terminal housing
Use two M4 × 8 bolts to fix terminal housings (The direction is as shown in Figure

2-7(b)), and tighten by using standard No.1 crosshead screwdriver, and tightening
torque is about 5 ~ 8 N • m.

2. Disassembly and assembly of keypad


(1) Disassembly of keypad
◆ Use standard No.1 crosshead screwdriver to take off four M4 bolts(as shown in
Figure 2-7 (a) );
◆ Disconnect the connection cable of keypad, and remove control panel;
◆ As shown in Figure 2-7 (b), rollover control panel, push out the jaw of keypad,
and remove keypad.
(2) Assembly of keypad
◆ As shown in Figure 2-7 (c), firstly inbed keypad in keypad adapter, and confirm
the correction of inbedding in the slotted hole;
◆ Connect the connection wire of keypad with control circuitboard;
◆ Fix control panel on the box by using four M4×8 bolts, and tighten by using
standard No.1 crosshead screwdriver, and tightening torque is about 5 ~ 8 N • m.

Caution

1. In order to avoid being exposed and damaged, don’t use other methods to
disassembly and assembly keypad and panels.
2. Don’t directly install big panel with keypad in the AC Drive, otherwise, it will
bring poor contact.Please separately install big panel in the AC Drive, then
install keypad in the big panel.

2.3 Requirements and management of installation site

Caution

3. Please hold the bottom of AC Drive when carry it.


Risk of feet injury if only holding the panel.
4. Please install in metal board and other nonflammable materials.
Risk of fire if installing in flammable materials.
5. If install two or more AC Drives in the same cabinet, please set the cooling fan,
and keep the air temperature below 40℃.
Risk of fire and other accidents if overheating.

2.3.1 Installation site:


The installation site should meet the following conditions:
 Good indoor ventilation
 Ambient temperature -10°C~40°C
 Humidity less than 90%RH, without dew
 Don’t install in the combustibles such as woods
 Avoid direct sunlight
 No combustible, explosive, corrosive gases and liquids
 No ash dust, oil dust, floatable fibers and metal particles
 strong installed base, no vibration
 No electromagnetic interference

2.3.2 Ambient temperature


To improve operation reality of AC Drive, please install in well-ventilated place.
When used in an enclosed cabinet, install the cooling fan or cooling air-conditioning,
and keep the environment temperature below 40°C.
2.3.3 Precaution
Please put a dust cover on the AC Drive when install. Do not fall metal framents
into AC Drive internal when drill holes. Please remove dust cover after installation
finishes.

In order to get good effect of cooling cycle, must install the AC Drive in vertical
direction. Please refer to Figure 2-8.

Chapter 3 Wiring

Danger

1 Before wiring, please confirm the cut-off of input power supply.


Risk of electric shock and fire.
2 Wiring operations must be carried out by electric engineerting specialists.
Risk of electric shock and fire.
3 Ground terminal must be reliably grounded.(380V class:especially the third
ground)Risk of electric shock and fire.
4 After connecting with the terminal of emergency stop, be sure to check the
validity of actions.Risk of injury.(The responsibility of wrong wiring is
undertaked by users.)
5 Do not directly touch the output terminals. Do not connect the output terminals of
inverter with the housings. Do not be short circuit between output terminals.
Risk of electric shock and short-circuit.

Caution

1 Make sure rated voltages of AC main circuit power supply and inverter are the
same. Risk of injury and electric shock.
2 Do not test withstand voltage of inverter.
It will damage semiconductor components.
3 Please connect braking unit or braking resistor according to wiring diagram.
Risk of fire.
4 Please use the specified torque screwdriver fastening terminals. Risk of fire.
5 Do not connect the cable of input power supply to output U、V、W terminals.
It will damage the internal of the inverter if adding voltage onoutput terminals.
6 Do not switch phase-shift capacitor into output circuit. It will damage the internal
of the inverter.
7 Do not switch electric-magnetic switch and electric-magnetic contactor into ouput
circuit. When the inverter is in operation with a load, surge current generated by
electromagnetic switches, electromagnetic contactors will cause the over-current
protection circuit action of inverter.

3.2 Connection diagram


Figure 3-2a,3-2b,3-3a,3-3b are connection diagrams of SY5000 series
inverter. When manipulate the inverter by using keyboard of control panel, the electric
motor can work only when connect main circuit.

Remark:
*1:MC is mainly used to prevent fault re-start or transcient power-cut re-start;
Resistor overheat protection of external braking unit also should be connected to the
control loop of MC.

*2:For 220V series,input power supply switches in L1,L2;for 380V, inputpower

supply switch in R, S, T;
*3:Be decided by JP3 jumpers of CPU board: Located in position 1, input voltage
range of external analog voltage V2 is 0~5V;located in position 3, input voltage
range of V2 is 0~10V. If no special requirements before delivery, JP3 jumper is locaed
in position 1, namely input voltage range of V2 is 0~5V. See above figure。

3.4.2 Function of main circuit terminal

3.4.3 Precautions of main circuit wiring

1. Installation of ELCB
As the inverter’s output is high-frequency PWM signal, the inverter will generate
high-frequency leakage current, please select Y2 type delay leakage circuit breaker
with above 30mA current sensitivity; if use ordinary ELCB, please select ELCB with
above 200mA current sensitivity.
2. Connection with terminal blocks
The phase sequence of input power supply is irrevelant to R(L1), S(L2), T phase
sequences of terminal block, so it can be any connection.
3. Setting of AC reactor or DC reactor
When the input power is connected with capacitive load, it will generate high peak
current in power grid.
If don’t take appropriate measures, the peak current may damage inverter rectifier
and other power modules.
When there is high peak current in power grid, please connect 3PH AC reactor
(optional) on the power input side of inverter, or install DC reactor on the terminal of
DC reactor.
Therefore, it not only suppresses peak current, but also improves power factor.
4. Setting of Surge Protection Device (SPD)
When there is inductive load near the inverter (electromagnetic contactor,
electromagnetic valve, electromagnetic coil, electromagnetic circuit breaker), please
install SPD at two ends of its coil.
5. Wiring of inverter and electric motor
Please check whether rotate forwards when confirm the command of forward.
When the motor is reverse rotation, exchanging any two of U, V, W output
terminals can change rotation direction of the motor.
Use jog function to confirm forward and reverse rotations.

6. Absolutely prohibit the connection of power supply wire and output terminal
Don’t connect the input power line to the output terminal.
If you input the power at the output terminal, the internal components of inverter
will be damaged.
7. Absolute prohibit short-circuit or grounding of output terminal
Do not directly touch the output terminal. Do not short the output line with inverter
housing. Otherwise, there will be danger of electric shock and short circuit.
In addition, don’t short the output line.
8. Absolutely prohibit the use of phase-shift capacitor
Don’t connect the capacitor in the output circuit. It will cause the damage of the
inverter.
9. Absolutely prohibit the use of electromagnetic switch
Don’t connect electromagnetic switches and electromagnetic contactors.
Otherwise, inverter surge current will cause protection action, and that will damage
interial components when it’s serious.
10. Wiring distance between inverter and motor
The longer wiring distance between the inverter and the motor, the higher high-
harmonic leakage current of the cable.
Leakage current will negatively impack the inverter and near equipments. Then it
should minimize the leakage current.
Wiring distance and carrier frequency are as shown in Table 3-3:

11. Ground connection


① Ground terminal, please connect the ground.
220V series:type 3 ground(grounding resistance is less than 100Ω)
380V series:special type 3 ground(grounding resistance is less than 10Ω)
② Don’t share the grounding line with welding machines or power equipments.
③ Please use the grounding wire according to electrical equipments technical
standards. And the distance from the ground is as short as possible.

④ Don’t form the grounding line to a loop in the place when use two or more
inverters. Correct and wrong grounding methods are as shown in Figure 3-5.

3.5 Wiring of control circuit terminal


In order to reduce interference and attenuation of control signal, wire length of
control signal should be less than 20m. The interval distance between wire length
and power line should be more than 30cm. Control signal line should be twisted-pair
shield cable.

3.5.3 Notes of control circuit wiring


● Sperately arrange connecting wire of control circuit, connectin wire of main
circuit, other power wires or power line
●To avoid malfunction caused by interference, you’d better use twisted shield
cable as connecting wire of control circuit. Wiring distance should be less than 20m.
● One end of shield wire should be connected to the ground.

3.6 EMC guide


The inverter can generate a certain noise. To reduce or eliminate the noise, we
should correctly connect cables and wires, but also adopt the following meansures
according to actual situation on sites:

3.6.1. Treating of conducted interference


(1) Set noise filter on the side of power supply can inhibit the noise generated by
the inverter power supply, and also inhibit the power supply noise effect on the
inverter. The inverter needs the special input noise filter.
(2) Isolate other equipments by using isolation transformers or power filters.
(3) Check whether external equipment and inverter wiring constitute closed loop.

3.6.2. Treating of radio-frequency interference (RFI)


(1) For easy-effecctive equipments and signal lines, please install far away from the
inverter.Use shield lines as singal lines.
Shield layer is connected to the ground, and cable of signal line is set into metal
tube.

Try to far away from inverter and its input and output wires.
If the signal cable must cross power cable, keep orthogonality between them.
(2) Connect output line into ground metal tube. The interval distance between
output line and signal line is more than 30cm.
(3) On the output side of the inverter, install special radio noise filter and linear
noise filter(ferrite common-mode retardation coil) to restrain radiation noise
of power line.
(4) Avoid parallel wiring or bundle wiring between signal line and power line,
make easy-effected equipments aways from the inverter, make easy-effected
signal away from input and output lines of the inverter.
It is better that shield signal line and power line, and respectively put into metal
tubes. The interval distance between metal tubes is more than 20mm.
(5) Shield with steel vessel. Connection line between inverter and the motor should
be as short as possible.

3.7 Wiring inspection


After wiring is completed, please inspect the wiring.
 Connection is right, or not;
 Screws and wire terminals are left in the equipment, or not;
 Screws are loose, or not;
 The bare wire of terminal parts is short-circuiting to other terminals, or not.

Chapter 4 Keypad operation

4.1 Keypad function


Control panel keypad of SY5000 series inverter consists of LED digital monitor,
LED indicator, operation keys and panel potentiometer, as shown in Figure 4-1.

4.1.1 Display format
There is a 5-digit 8-section LED monitor on the keypad, which is used for
displaying running status, function code, parameter value and fault code.
4.1.2 Indicator
RUN:When the inverter is running, the green indicator “RUN” lights;
ERR:When fault or error occur, the red indicator “ERR” lights and blinks.

Set key In other statuses, click here to confirm options or data, and store
setting data in E2PROM which can be stored for long.
It is the start command key when controlled by control panel.

Run key Clicking and releasing the key to issue running commands, the
inverter will accelerates running according to setting acceleration
time.
It is the stop command key when controlled by control panel.
Stop/ Clicking and releasing the key to issue stop commands, the inverter
reset
key will decelerates stop according to setting deceleration time.
Use the key to reset the inverter when it trips because of a fault.

4.2 Basic operation of the keypad


4.2.1 Direct status disply
Direct display status of SY5000 series inverter refers to initial display mode
after power-on, which is used for displaying output frequency of inverter.
4.2.2 Switching of display parameter
In the status of direct display, we can view or modify function parameters by
keypad operations.
All display parameter codes are devided into four groups: basic function
b group, extended function E group, PID regulation function P group and 485
communication R group.
Firstly determine display code of parameters, locat its function group, and
then do operations in the following order.

5.2 Parameter instruction

Function code of basic function (group b)


b-000 setting frequency by panel number
When all parameters of b-002 jog operation, b-003 multi-step speed running,
b-004 voltage input selection, b-005 current input selection, b-006 panel
potentiometer selection and b-007 pulse frequency given simultaneously choose
0(disabled), the inverter runs according this setting frequency. At this moment,

enter setting state of parameter b-000 panel number setting frequency, click

keys and immediately modify oprating frequency of the inverter.( ):

increasing frequency;( ): decreasing frequency

b-001 panel selection


Used to select RUN / STOP keys are enabled.
b-001 Corresponding function
Run, stop, and motional direction of the motor all are

b-002 Corresponding function


0 Jog command is disabled.
Selection terminal PI1~PI4. When selected terminal disconnects with COM,
jog operation is inenabled; when they are connected, jog operation is enabled.
1~4 When carry out jog operation, setting frequency is the value of b-027. accel and
decel at this moment is determined by b-028 ~b-030. For jog accel /decel mode,
linear type(b-028 = 0) and S-curve type(b-028 = 1) are optional.
5 Jog operation by control panel.

b-003 multi-step speed operation mode


b-003 Corresponding function
0 Multi-step speed operation is disabled.
Set a integer of 0~7 (E-019 is low post,E-021 is high post) by three virance
of E-019,E-020,E-021.
0 corresponds to multi-step speed setting default speed, 1 corresponds to multi-

step speed setting 1, and so on.
Thereby setting output frequency is one of 8 multi-step speed setting
frequencies.

Firstly run for some time (the time is determined by E-014) at the frequency
which is set by E-022.
Secondly run for some time (the time is determined by E-015) at the frequency
which is set by E-023.
2 Thirdly run for some time (the time is determined by E-016) at the frequency
which is set by E-024.
After that, run for some time (the time is determined by E-017) at the frequency
which is set by E-025.
Finally stop at the frequency which is set by E-025.

Similar with the way when parameter value is 2.But after run for some time (the
time is determined by E-017) at the frequency which is set by E-025. Run again

When set parameter b-007 as 1, namely pulse frequency is enabled, set
output frequency as pulse frequency. For given equivalent value, please see setting
instruction of E-033 in Chapter 5.2.

b-008 base frequency


Base frequency means maximum frequency in constant torque range.
Due to factory default is 50.00 Hz, please set base frequency as 60.00Hz, if
driving frequency of the motor is 60Hz.

b-009 highest frequency


Highest frequency is allowable maximum output frequency of the inverter.
Moreover, all values of accel /decel time is the time between 0 and highest frequency.
All analog inputs (0- 10V,4- 20mA) meet the output frequency range in
proportion; if maximum frequency is 60HZ and analog input is 0-10V, 0-10V linear
corresponding frequency is 0-60HZ.

Parameter range: 25.00~650.0Hz.


Factory setting: 50.00 Hz.

b-010 upper limit frequency


If you don’t want the motor runs at above frequency, use parameter [b-010]. Use
a actual frequency value as output upper limit frequency value of the inverter, e.g.
[b-009] (maximum output frequency) is 50.00HZ.

b-011 lower limit frequency


b-012 lower limit frequency mode

For adjusting external analog signal input (0~5V/10V、4~20mA)or setting

This parameter can best adjust start torque characteristic with torque
compensation.
If the value is set too big, sometimes over-current fault occurs.
If the operation frequency is lower than start frequency, it will decrease to
operation frequency as soon as output reaches start frequency.

is defined as the required time when output frequency increases from 0 to highest
frequency; decel time is defined as the required time when output frequency increases

This parameter decides DC braking time when the motor stops.
b-032 DC braking when stop

0 DC braking is inenabled when stop.
When setting terminals (1~4 respectively corresponds to terminals

b-033 DC braking start frequency


When output frequency reaches setting frequency during the decel, DC braking
will start.

b-034 DC braking voltage


DC braking function can make the motor stop during the motor decel. It displays
“dC.on”when DC braking. When both of b-031 and b-032 are not 0, DC braking
function is enabled during decel. Parameter of b-033 is the frequency when DC
braking starts during decel.
If b-031=0.0 or b-032 = 0, DC braking function is inenabled when stop. All
keypad signals are inenabled during DC braking. Braking progress is shown in below
figure. DC braking voltage is determined by the setting value of b-034.
Must add DC braking and make leaf blades completely static, because leaf
blades may not completely stop rotating before running in fan loads. At this time, set
the value of b-040 according to different loads. If it is used for pump loads, no need
DC braking before start running. At this time, make sure b-040= 0.0, namely no DC
braking before start.

b-035 motor direction


The function is enabled only when b-001 is 5 (namely panel control enabled),
and the parameter is used to decide motor motional direction. The function is
inenabled when b-001 is 0 (namely panel control inenabled), and the parameter setting
is inenabled (please see setting instruction of b-001).
b-035 = 0:commanding motor rotating forward;b-035 = 1:commanding
motor rotating reversely
Default is 0, namely commanding motor rotating forward.

Four kinds of fan control mode can be selected according to different cooling
conditions:
①normal switch mode(b-037 is set as 0):Inverter with output, the fan starts
running; inverter without output, the fan stop running after delay;
②automatic switch mode(b-037 is set as 1):When radiator temperature raises
to higher than 40℃, the fan starts running; when radiator temperature declines lower
than 30℃, the fan stops running;
③always open mode(b-037 is set as 2):No matter what state the inverter is, the
fan still runs;
④always close mode(b-037 is set as 3):No matter what state the inverter is, the
fan still does not run.
Default is 0,namely normal switch mode.

b-038 reverse command


0:Motor can be reversed
1:Motor can not rotates reversely and all commands can make the motor
rotates forward;
b-039 SF, SR input filter factor
It is designed for the suppression of system interference.When using the SF, SR
terminals control frequent forward and reverse of inverter, if the value is bigger, the
filter is stronger, but the inverter will response slowly. It is suggested to set under the
guidance of the manufacturer.
b-040 DC braking duration before start
Determine DC braking duration time before start according to different load
conditions, which is the value of parameter b-040. It is being noted that:
(1)If use for pump loads, don’t need DC braking before start, at this time set
this parameter as 0.0, namely no DC braking before start.
(2)Functions of parameter b-040 and b-031(DC braking duration)are
independent, the two will no affect each other.

Extended function (group E)


E-000 frequency setting
Display top-class setting frequency according to priority, unit: Hz.
Because this operation can be done during stop period, it can be used to check
setting input signal.

Please connect a meter (resistance is more than 2KΩ) which full scales is 10V,
manximum allowable output current is 10mA.

10V;
E-034 = 1:When output rated current, output voltage between FM-COM is 5V.

output frequency once the current beyond stall level, so control output current lower

You can use trial recovery function when protection function activates inverter
tripping. Parameter of E-051 can be set trial recovery on what kind of faults.
E-051 = 0:Fault trial recovery function is inenabled;
E-051 = 1:try recovery on overcurrent fault(o.C.);
E-051 = 2:try recovery on overvoltage fault(o.E.);
E-051 = 3:try recovery on IPM(F.Lt);

For the selected fault, after a period of time (parameter E-052), trial recovery
function automatically restore, check speed, synchronize and run again. The number

opration during trial receovery operation, this operation will interrupt. E-053 = 9
means always carrying out fault trial recovery.

P-012 bias limit of PID regulation

If relative bias value of closed loop system is bigger than setting value of bias
limit, namely bigger than +[P-012] % or less than -[P-012] %,then use PID
regulator to adjust.
If relative bias value of closed loop system is in the setting range [-[P-012] %,

Use [G-000] to select ‘1 to 2 control’ function. ‘1 to 2 control’ function means
that an AC Drive automatically control two motors according to feedback value. So
that PLC was spared to greatly simplify external circuits and relevant devices.
Firstly start up an AC Drive, then run another motor under power frequency
when meet any one of following situations: (1) output frequency equals to or higher
than upper limit frequency and duration time reaches [G-002] settings; (2) feedback
value is lower than or equals to lower limit value and duration time reaches [G-002]
settings. Then AC drive decelerates to lower limit frequency and carries out PID
regulation.
Automatically stop running motor under power frequency when meet any one
of following situations: (1) output frequency equals to or is lower than lower limit

Danger

1. After install terminal housing, switch on input power.


Do not disassemble the housing when power on. Risk of electic shock.
2. Do not close to equipments if set power input-start function on the inverter,
because the inverter will suddenly re-start when power on. Risk of injury.
3. Please connect emergency stop switch (Stop key is only valid when set
keyboard running). Risk of injury.

6.2.3 No-load operation
When the motor is in no-load state, use keypad to set the parameters, and
commission the motor.
 Set basic frequency
Default basic frequency of inverter is 50.00Hz. Before commissioning, please
make sure that parameter value of function code b-008 (basic frequency) equals
rate frequency of motor which is 50.00HZ.
 Start inverter
① Modifty the parameter value of b-000 form 0.00 to 50.00
② Press RUN key of control panel and release, the motor start rotating until it
reaches the setting frequency.
③ Observe the rotation direction of motor is whether correct or not, if wrong,
exchange any two connect cables of output terminal U,V,W of inverter.
④ Change b-035 from 0 to 1. And the motor reverse totates until reaches the

⑤ In operation, enter the status of b-000, click ▲▼ keys, and can immediately
change motor rotation speed.
⑥ Click STOP key of control panel, the motor speed declines and then stop

runs to output frequency as 10.00Hz, and the motor rotates according to current
setting direction.
 Observation of running status
① Change frequency command or rotation direction, and observe whether there
is vibration and noise of the motor.
② Please confirm the inverter whether works normally or not.
6.2.4 Load operation
After the motor works normally with no load, connect the load, and commission
with load.
 Connect machanical load
① After the motor stops, connect mechanical load.
② Fastening screw, so that mechanical load fixed on the motor shaft.
 Start inverter
① Use control panel to start the inverter. It is the same as no load.
② Change parameter value of b-035 from 0 to 1. And the motor reverse totates
until reaches the setting frequency.
③ In operation, enter the parameter setting status of b-000, click ▲▼ keys,
and can immediately change motor rotation speed.
④ Click STOP key of control panel, the motor speed declines and then stop
rotating.
⑤ Set parameter value of b-002 as 5, b-027 as 10.00Hz. Press RUN key and
release, the inverter runs to output frequency as 10.00Hz, and the motor rotates
according to current setting direction.
 Observation of running status
① Make sure that the running direction of mechanical load is whether correct
or not.
② Change frequency command or rotation direction, and observe whether there
is vibration and noise of the motor.
③ When running, please switch to E-005 function code to see if the motor
current is excessive.

Chapter 7 Troubleshooting

After detecting anomaly of inverter, protection circuit and fault output relay
work and display fault and stop running. Please be sure to find fault reasons and
corresponding countermeasures, and run again after troubleshooting.

7.1 Protection function

Chapter 8 Maintenance

Danger

1. Do not touch the inverter terminals, which there is high voltage on terminal.
Risk of electric shock.
2. Before power on, please install terminal housing. When disassemble housing,

3. Cut off power supply of main circuit, then carry out inspection and maintenance
after confirm LED extinguishing for 5~10 minutes. Risk of residual voltage of

4. Non-specialists do not do maintenance and inspection. Risk of electric shock.

Caution

1. CMOS integrated circuits are installed in keypad, control circuit board and
drive circuit board. Please take care!
Don’t directly touch circuit board. Electrostatic induction may damage

2. Do not change wiring or remove terminal wires when it is power-up. Risk of

3. Do not check signals in operation. Risk of damaging equipments.
8.1 Inspection and maintenance
Ambient temperature, humidity, dust and vibration effects, as well as aging of
components all are likely lead to potential failure of the inverter.Therefore, must do
regular inspection maintenance.
8.1.1 Regualr inspection and maintenance
 Hearing and touching the housing,check if there are abnormal heating, noise
and vibration from the inverter and the motor.
 Check if ambient temperature and humidity exceeds the manual provision by
using thermometer and hygrometer.
 Load current is in the range of rated value, or not.
 Cooling fan runs normally, or not.

Be sure to cut off the power when do regular inspections.

using environment, using condition and maintenance situation. Lifespan of vulnerable

Fault code Description
Function code fault:
01
inverter only identify functions of 03H, 06H, 08H
Command address error

Address inverter does not exist in the command.

Command content is wrong:


03 Command content is out of range, e.g.: when write parameters,
command parameter value are beyond limits.
Command can not be implemented.
04 Inverter can not perform the command, e.g.: command modifies read-
only data or parameter.
Check code error

Check byte of command data frame is not correct.
Command data is too short.
12 (less than 17 bytes at ASCII mode, RTU less than 8 bytes at RTU
mode.)
Command data is too long,
total bytes is not beyond 27 bytes in ASCII mode(that is to say, the
13 data bit is not beyond 10 bytes),
total bytes is not beyond 12 bytes in RTU mode(that is to say, the data
bit is not beyond 4 bytes.)

15 Error occurs when execute writing command.

Calculation of check codes of above command:
01H+03H+21H+02H+00H+02H=29H, then take the complement of 29H and get
check code of D7H.

2 Check code of RTU mode(CRC Check)


Check code is the value from Address to Data.
Its calculation rules are as following:

Step 1:load a 16-bit register(called CRC register)=FFFFH.


Step 2:first 8-bit byte message command and 16-bit low byte of CRC register
will be treated as Exclusive OR,and store the result into CRC register.
Step 3:Right move one bit CRC register, fill 0 in high byte.
Step 4:Check the value of right move, if 0, store the new value of Step 3 into
CRC register, otherwise exclusive OR A001H and CRC register, store the result
into CRC register.
Step 5:Repeat Step 3~Step 4,complete all calculation of 8-bit.

Step 6:Repeat Step 2~Step 5,take next 8-bit message command until
all message command calculation completes. After all, get the value of CRC
register, namely CRC check code. It is worth noting that CRC check code must
be swapped to place in the confirmation code.

1. Put operation panel into the groove of external control panel, as shown in the figure,
and then slightly push down.
2. Confirm the entering of operation panel.

2 Optional accessories
2.1 extension cable
Operation panel can connect with inverter host by extension cable (as shown
in Figure 2-2). Length of cable: 1m, 2m, 3m, 5m. If users need extension cable
longer than 5m, please contact the factory when place the order. The shape of
extension cable is as shown in Figure 2-1.
