Helping verb
• In English grammar, a helping verb is a verb that comes before the main verb in
a sentence.

• The verb be and its forms: be, am, is, are, was, were, been, being

●The auxiliaries “is, am, are” also help us to complete a sentence.

• We use ‘is’ with singular nouns and singular pronouns.

• We use ‘are’ with plural nouns and plural pronouns.

• We use 'am' with the pronoun ‘I’.


I am going to speak at the ceremony tomorrow.
We are having spaghetti for dinner tonight.
What are you doing?
She is not going to be fine.
