ABSTRACT

Lean manufacturing is a production technique that primarily aims to shorten response times
from suppliers and consumers as well as times spent in the production system. Time research
is a tried-and-true technique for measuring how much work needs to be done in order to
establish fundamental time and, as a result, the norms for performing specific tasks.
Customers are worried about the product's quality, the turnaround time, and the cost. In order
to advance and improve the productivity and quality of the manufactured goods, industries
need therefore develop a value system. This study's objective is to assess how much
production has improved. Through the use of assembly line balancing techniques, this project
focuses on improving the efficiency of the axle housing assembly line.

Axel Housing

The bearing assemblies that support the axles are housed in the axle housings, which also act
as mounting locations for the front and rear axles.

There are two types of axel housing

Dead Front Axle: These front axles don't rotate with the wheels; they remain stationary. The
majority of dead front axles and differentials have housings that keep them out of the mud or
water.

Live Front Axle: Unlike dead front axles, which transfer power from the gearbox to the front
wheels, live front axles do the opposite.
