This project aims to help farmers, fisherfolk, women and teachers in Northern Mindanao through improved tilapia feeding techniques during the COVID-19 pandemic. Five associations with 15 members each will be selected from four towns to produce tilapia in 100 square meter ponds. Beneficiaries will produce three cycles to yield around 140 kilograms of tilapia per cycle. Educational materials on tilapia breeding and feeding will be developed. The project seeks to increase beneficiaries' net income by 7% and provide policy recommendations to support agribusiness during pandemics. The total budget is 31,660 pesos for fingerlings, training, feeds and harvest facilities.
Assessment of Yield Enhancement Intervention Under National Rice Program and Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund To Palay Production and Income of Nueva Ecija Farmers
