Paciano accompanied Rizal to the entrance examination at Letran on June 10, 1872
he passed the exam but refused because of two reasons: being a late registrant, very frail and
undersized for his age.
Father Magin Fernando (denying his admission) but due to the intervention of Manuel Burgos,
the college registrar finally admitted Rizal.
