AIR POLLUTION

Air pollution is the contamination of air due to the

presence of substances in the atmosphere that are
harmful to the health of humans and other living beings,
or cause damage to the climate or to materials.

WATER POLLUTION
Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies, usually
as a result of human activities, so that it negatively affects its
uses. Water bodies include lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers,
reservoirs and groundwater. Water pollution results when
contaminants mix with these water bodies
NOISE POLLUTION
Noise pollution, or sound pollution, is the propagation of

noise or sound with ranging impacts on the activity of human

or animal life, most of which are harmful to a degree. The source

of outdoor noise worldwide is mainly caused by machines, transport,

and propagation systems.

THERMAL POLLUTION
Thermal pollution, sometimes called "thermal enrichment",
is the degradation of water quality by any process that changes
ambient water temperature. Thermal pollution is the rise or fall in
the temperature of a natural body of water caused by human influence.
SOIL POLLUTION
Soil contamination, soil pollution, or land pollution as
a part of land degradation is caused by the presence of
xenobiotic chemicals or other alteration in the natural soil
environment. It is typically caused by industrial activity,
agricultural chemicals or improper disposal of waste.

LIGHT POLLUTION
Light pollution, or artificial light at night, is the excessive or
poor use of artificial outdoor light, and it disrupts the natural
patterns of wildlife, contributes to the increase in carbon dioxide
(CO2) in the atmosphere, disrupts human sleep, and obscures the
stars in the night sky.
ELECTROMAGNETIC POLLUTION
In physics, electromagnetic radiation consists of waves
of the electromagnetic field, which propagate through space
and carry momentum and electromagnetic radiant energy.
It includes radio waves, microwaves, infrared, light, ultraviolet,
X-rays, and gamma rays.

VISUAL POLLUTION
Visual pollution refers to the visible deterioration and
negative aesthetic quality of the natural and human-made
landscapes around people and to the study of secondary
impacts of manmade interventions.
LITTERING POLLUTION
Littering can be defined as making a place or area untidy
with rubbish, or incorrectly disposing waste. Littering causes
pollution, a major threat to the environment, and has increasingly
become a cause for concern in many countries. As human beings are
largely responsible for littering, it is important to understand why
people litter, as well as how to encourage people not to litter.

PLASTIC POLLUTION
Plastic pollution Plastic pollution is the accumulation of plastic
objects and particles in the Earth's environment that adversely affects
humans, wildlife and their habitat. Plastics that act as pollutants are
categorized by size into micro-, meso-, or macro debris.
