Parts and Service Resource Tool (PSRT)

Installation Guide

1 Insert USB drive into computer

2 Double click on

3 If the below screen appears, consult your local IT personnel


4 Click on Next

5 Read the license agreement and if you agree, click on:

6 If you are updating a previous version, the below screen will appear.

If you are an IT professional and want to modify server and client installation settings (not

recommended), click on

9a If you choose Advanced settings, here are the screens you will see:

It is possible to leave the data files on the DVD during installation. Doing this requires the
correct DVD be in the drive to view files. If multiple DVDs are included, changing them to
view documents is required.

11 Once the program determines your system meets the requirements of installation, the

below screen will appear. If the default location is acceptable, click If not,

make the required changes and then click


12 Normally click The default is to have a shortcut for all users,

If this is not desired, make the required changes and click

13 At this point, nothing has been installed on your computer.

If you want to install PSRT, click


14 During the install process you will see the following screens:
Install time will vary based on computer speed and other factors. Allow one (1) hour for
complete install and 30 minutes for an update at a minimum.

15 Upon successful completetion the below screen will appear


16 The below icon will now be on your desktop

17 Double click on the Icon to launch PSRT for the first time
Enter the Login and Password from the letter which came with the disk set

Click on so you will only need to enter password one time

18 Utilize PSRT
The User guide is included with this package and is also located at the bottom of the list on
the left hand side of the PSRT screen.
Removing Old Data Sets

After installing an update to the PSRT off-line version, it is recommended you remove older
versions. The follow steps walk you through this process.

1 At the login screen for PSRT, click on

2 Select the old data set under “Manufacturers” and click


3 Click to confirm deletion
Repeat process as many times as required
