MECH 212 Dynamics

Spring Semester
Syllabus
Catalog Data: Rectilinear and curvilinear motion, translation and rotation, momentum
and impulse principles, and work-energy relationships. 3 credit hours.

Prerequisites: PHYS 125, MATH 253.

Course Objectives: 1. To familiarize engineering sophomore students with


fundamental knowledge of dynamics.
2. To educate students in understanding dynamic phenomena.
3. To teach students to analyze dynamic problems with time/space
variables.
4. To familiarize students with methods to find relationships
among position, velocity and acceleration.
5. To teach students to solve dynamical equations.
