Pulp characteristics

• From 15 - 17% TS
• Municipal waste about 85% VS in TS
• Particle size (measured from TS):
• 93% <1.3 mm, 60% <100 μ
• Purity of Biopulp >99,9% (dry basis)
• Methane yields >450 Nm3 CH4/t VS corresponding to 65
Nm3 CH4 per tonne of pulp.
• 1 tonne of waste equals between 1.3 and 1.5 tonnes of
pulp.
• pH values about 4,5
• Low values of heavy metals and other foreign elements
Fast reaction in digester (fermentation test)

Plastic in the pulp
Summary of main benefits

- Designed to withstand the challenges of organic waste,

tolerant towards foreign elements (metal parts, stones etc.)
- Allows a great variety of packings – plastic, metal cans,
glas, paper, etc.
- Outstanding, documented pulp quality (>99.9%), digestate
to be used directly as a nutrient-rich fertilizer in agriculture
- Optimum exploitation of the organic content of the waste
(>95%)
- Allows for high content of plastic packings and other
inorganic components in the waste (up to 20%).
- Fully automated operation, low OPEX
