DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT AND SEVICES

- Ligaia’s Potamamma product is potato salad, which
consists of boiled baby potatoes, also known as marble
potatoes, combined with a simple homemade white sauce
made of carrots, parsley, onions, and garlic. This snack is

Figure 12: The Facility

layout
As we all know, facility
layout is a suitable
arrangement of various manufacturing components to
accomplish desired output results. As you can see in the
picture, our facility layout contains:
• Production area where we will produce/make our product. As
you can see, it is bigger than the service area and it's because
we need to have enough space to make a good flow in making
our product.
• Receiving counter between the production area and service
area. This will serve as a way of communication between the
product maker and the sale staff. This is a window-style
counter and its importance is to avoid going back and forth
from the production area to the service area which can cause
chaos within the facility.
• Service area is where the sale staff will stay. This is where
the customer purchases and receives our product from the sale
staff.
• Receiving counter between the service area and outside the
facility. This is also a window-style counter where the
transaction between the customer and the sale staff will
happen.
• Entrance/exit is where the staff and others that are part of the
business will enter the facility and so as exit.
• And the last one is the emergency exit. In case of emergency,
this will be our fastest way to go out of the facility. As you can
see, it is placed near the production area. It is because the
production area is the most to have chaos and will cause some
trouble to the facility.
