of Grade 10 Students in Dasmariñas East Integrated High School
School Year 2022 – 2023

1.Grading can promote a sense of competence and intrinsic drive when it is seen as fair and
open.

2.Students can be motivated to work toward mastery and take responsibility for their
learning when they get constructive feedback that emphasizes improvement rather than
grades alone.

3.Strict or inconsistent grading procedures can demotivate students, which would cause
them to become diseng aged and exert less effort.

4.Students might modify their study strategies when they are aware of how their work
will be judged.

5.Students can prioritize their efforts and adopt efficient learning strategies by
following clear grading criteria.

6.Grading procedures that are consistent, harsh, or ambiguous can have a detrimental
impact on students’ academic performance, motivation, self-esteem, and learning
strategies.
