NARRATIVE REPORT
On April 26, 2023 We have to admit that we greatly loved performing the modern dance
in front of our classmates and teachers, as well as the students who were observing us
at the time, in our subject, PE 2. We thought it would be difficult at first because only the
second year in the group is a dancer and none of us are used to performing modern
moves, let alone dancing in general. Even so, we still tried our absolute best to learn
and rehearse the moves that we were unfamiliar with, and guess what happened? It
went pretty nicely in the end.
Before the day of our recital, practiced is very difficult for us first year and second year
(8 members 4 1st yr. and 4 2nd yr.) because of our schedule of classes but in the end, we
find time to attend practice and learn the basics in modern ballroom from second year
students. On our practice days, we learned the basic movement, New York, shoulder to
shoulder, hand to hand and three cha cha cha and spot turn. Each second yr. student
teach us every steps, they instructed us to follow the beat, the counting’s so that we can
be synchronized and uniform at first it is difficult because some of us can’t follow. We
practice our movement to become fluent and smooth so many times so that we
memorize the dance.
