The teaching plan that you will develop will be used to teach a small group of nurses (orientees, post-graduate students, other
collegues) needing some assistance to maximize their skills. Identifying a skill where you are proficient/ expert, you can teach the new
nurses or other nurses whom you think needs their skills to be developed.
In this teaching plan, you need to develop the parts as you write them out. You also need to apply the concepts previously learned on
clinical reasoning, level of capabilities and clinical teaching. These will be assessed based on the applications that you will implement in this
plan. But of course, you need to suit the methodologies and strategies according to your schedule and availability of the student(nurses).
Goal:
The teaching plan aims to improve the self-efficacy of the nurses in performing the endotracheal tube insertion for emergency
purposes in the Intensive Care Unit.
Duration: 30 minutes to 1 hour (or more depending on the chosen topic; it could also be a teaching series if you want)
