INTRODUCTION:
 A canteen facility is a supplementary system that is provided by
organizations for their employees/students. Organizations with large
numbers of employees cannot handle a canteen with manual processes.
 Our canteen management system provides a friendly User Interface for
numerous food outlets, menu design, billing features and lots more.
 Usually, People have to go to canteen and order the foods and they have
to wait in queue for a long time to get the orders, But with the help of this
you just have to follow a very simple process to order your stuffs.
ABSTRACT:
 Online canteen FOOD ORDER SYSTEM is a website designed
primarily for use in the food delivery industry.
 This system will allow offices and colleges to increase scope of
business by reducing the labour cost involved.
 This system also allows to quickly and easily manage an online menu
which customers can browse and use to place orders in just few
clicks.
 Canteen employees use these orders through an easy to navigate
graphical interface for efficient processing.
AIM OF THE PROJECT:
 Our aim is to reduce the time wasted in office/college for food
ordering and waiting in queue.
 We have developed a website where employee, teacher or
student can order their meal while they are in their work. So that as
soon as they have a break they do not have to wait in queue and
enjoy their meal with minimal waiting time.
 The canteen manager can also manage the orders as they get
enough time to prepare the meal and the canteen does not get
crowded.
 The company or college can now give more work to the employee
or students have more time for their classes as the time wasted in
ordering of meal is reduced.
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT:
 The main objective of the project on company canteen food
ordering system is to reduce the waiting time in office/college
canteen.
 It manages all the information about company canteen, bill
payment , canteen staff , company canteen.
 The purpose of the project is to create an application to scale back
the manual work for managing the corporate canteen ,employee
,bill payment , employee meal.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
 Online food ordering system is the web based application intended
for business.
 It provides various feature such as searching, viewing and selection
of food items for customers
 This system is a bunch of benefits from various points of views. For
example , if there is a rush or huge crowd present in the canteen
then in that case sometimes unavailablity of tables cut downs the
canteen customers.
 The system will also provide report facility to users. Basically the
project describes the way to manage permanently performance
and better service for the clients.

The approach used is a top-down one concentrating on what first then

perform operations on platform.
