Toke-off complete all works associated with the el ement of 1. Prior to commencement of concreting, the Contractor shall submit to the S.O. for his approval, all
detailed proposal for the sequence of placing concrete and the positions of all vertical and horizontal
FRAME. joints (If any). Such proposals shall be submitted to the S.O. at least two weeks before scheduled date of
concreting.
2. No concrete shall be placed until the steel reinforcement has been checked and approved by the S.O.
or his representative.
3. All fresh concrete shall be protected by approved means from rain, sun and drying wind to maintain
suitable temperature and moisture.
4. All cone. work to be in accordance with the B.S. 8110 ; 1997 and its testing shall be in Accordance
with B.S. 1881.
5. All cone. placed (Unless Otherwise Stated) to be Grade 25 for Concrete as per JKR Specification
with nominal Mix. Using 20mm Size Graded Aggregate and having a minimum cube crushing strength of
35Mpa of 28 days.
6. Minimum cement content to be 360kg/m3 with maximum water cement ratio to be 0.50
as per JKR Specification.
10. No holes or chases are permitted in cone. member others than those detailed or authorised. No bars
are to be cut without specific instruction from The Engineers.
11. The contractor sholl advise the engineer when reinforcement is ready for inspection before concrete is
poured and adequate notice shall be given to enable inspection to be carried out.
12. 50mm thk. 1: 3: 6 - 40mm aggregate cone. blinding to be provided to be base of all ground beams,
slabs and pilecaps/footings.
