Purpose Statement
This statement aims to provide students with a means of developing oneself
through exposure to the real world. Work immersion must be first-hand in order for
students to get knowledge and experience that can aid in their personal development.

The purpose statement gives me the opportunity to illustrate, rather than just tell,
the skills I would mention on my resume or discuss in an interview. It provides proof of
my pertinent knowledge and skills.

My reputation in a professional or academic setting may improve as a result of

having this portfolio. It gives me the chance to demonstrate my abilities, skills, and
knowledge, displays a thorough understanding of my greatest work, and serves as a
brochure for the services I am marketing.

Work Immersion is comparable to the On-the-Job Training (OJT) that college

students participate in.

One of the courses needed to graduate is Work Immersion. A senior high school
student must participate in work immersion in a field that is directly related to their
postsecondary objective.

You will not just discover new skills but most importantly, you will learn new
social skills. You have to cooperate with your co-workers and adapt to the new
environment. In short, it will let you experience what a real job feels like.

Work immersion gives them a chance to put their skills to the test and use what
they have learned outside of the classroom. In addition to applying their prior
knowledge, students can experience the social dynamics of a workplace through work
immersion.

Nobody excels without effort. Great ambitions always start with hard work. Without it,
nothing spectacular occurs. Organization requires a lot of effort. It takes effort to set
objectives, develop plans to reach them, and stay on course. I have to admit that
locating a job opening could be the most difficult part of the work immersion process.
I spent the last week of march looking for organizations that would hire SHS
students. It was a mess! we were unsure about how to proceed and where to begin.
With options for the work immersion, our professor came to our aid.
I made the latter decision because I wanted to push myself. So, I did team up with
my other classmates who also chose the same option and started applying nonstop.
It was very exhausting. In an effort to get exhausted, we attended interviews,
created resumes and the application letter is important to include when I’m submitting
my resume for a job. Also, traveled to the city to obtain the health card, purok clearance,
and cedula. Despite our desire to stick with our decision, we felt drained, hungry, and
physically fatigued.
Our teammate made the offer to take care of everything. They would handle
everything, including hiring and all necessary paperwork. The second goal was to instill
independence in us by having everything work together.
