5. Perform a fire drill regularly to test the efficiency of all staff to respond to a fire emergency.

6. Confirm that periodic maintenance has been performed on the fire protection and alarm systems.

7. Confirm the necessary fire safety permits and certifications have been obtained.

8. Verify that all necessary safety signage has been posted in prominent locations.

9. Ensure that all necessary firefighting gear is in good condition and easily accessible.

10. Update the fire emergency response plan annually.
