R. to burst (verb) - to explode. You can use it with; burst into laughter, burst into tears.

Passive voice

Active voice: We mention WHO DOES the action first.

Passive voice: We mention WHO RECEIVES the action first.

We use passive voice when:

1. We want to focus more on the receiver than the doer.

2. The receiver is more important than the doer.

3. It's not neccessary to know who is the doer.

4. We don't know who the doer is.

5. The doer is not relevant or it's obvious.

6. We want to add some formality and variety to our writing.

Present simple

A: I make cookies every weekened.

P: Cookies are made (by) me every weekened.

Present Continuous

A: I am making cookies every weekend.

P: Cookies are being made (by) me every weekend.

Present Perfect simple

A: I have made cookies every weekend.

A: I have been making cookies every weekend.

P: Cookies have been being made (by) me every weekend.
