5. Argumentative Essay: Similar to persuasive essay, but presents arguments and
evidence to support a specific claim.
6. Compare and Contrast Essay: Discusses similarities and differences between two or
more subjects.
7. Cause and Effect Essay: Analyzes the relationship between a specific event and its
consequences.
8. Process Essay: Provides a step-by-step explanation of how to do something or how
something works.
9. Definition Essay: Defines a concept or term in-depth, providing an explanation of
its meaning.
10. Critical Essay: Analyzes and evaluates a piece of literature, art, or any other medium,
providing a subjective interpretation of it.
