Description:

A gyroscope is a fascinating device that is used to measure and maintain orientation. It is commonly used in
navigation systems, aircraft, and spacecraft, as well as in many other applications. A gyroscope consists of a spinning
rotor that is mounted on a set of gimbals, which allow the rotor to freely spin in any direction. When the rotor is
spinning, it resists any changes in its orientation, which makes it an excellent tool for measuring and maintaining the
orientation of an object. In this guide, we will show you how to create your very own DIY Gyroscope using simple
materials that you can find at home or at your local hardware store. Whether you're a science enthusiast, a hobbyist,
or just someone who loves to tinker, building your own gyroscope can be a fun and rewarding project that will
provide you with hours of entertainment and learning.

Materials:
● 3 pcs Stainless Metal (5”, 4”, 3”)
● Bolts, Washer, and Nuts
● Bearing
● Gyroscope Stand
● Spray Paint

1
Tools:
● Electric Drill with Drill Bit
● Center Punch
● Ball Peen Hammer

2
Procedures:
● We gathered all the materials needed for this project.
● Wear your personal protective equipment because we will use such tools that could harm you.
● Measure the three rounded metals, the 5” diameter metal should have 2 holes, while the 4” and 3” should
have 4 holes.
● To be able for it to have a hole, we first used a center punch and ball peen hammer for it to have a dent and it
will be easy for us to drill it.
● Next is to drill the different sides of the metal.
● After drilling, we will now put the bolts, washer and nuts to be able for it to be in one.
● Create a stand for it to be stable.
● After doing all the steps, the project is now ready to be passed.
