Wego Chemical Group is an international importer, supplier, and distributor of chemicals and raw
materials. We are an established player in the international commercial chemical markets,
providing companies in the developed world with supply chain solutions emanating from around
the world, primarily the Far East. Our team has been operating for over 40 years, with offices in
four continents and consistent business in over 25 countries. We are 140+ strong around the
world, with 9 global offices in 6 countries, and approximately $750MM in global revenues.
Job Summary
This an individual contributor role, and will require an engineer who is ready to “get their hands
dirty” while also contributing ideas to positively impact the business. You will join the fast-paced IT
team supporting Wego’s global operations, currently consisting of 5 members. You will report to
the Global IT Manager for ERP & Business applications, with frequent functional reporting to our
Supply Chain organization which includes $50MM+ of logistics spend across ocean, rail, truck,
and multi-modal shipments. The ideal candidate for this position must have hands on experience
configuring, customizing, and integrating OTM in the cloud, and a keen interest in working with
customer-facing business leaders on solving complex problems and maintaining a continuous-
improvement mentality in business operations. We are looking for a long term teammate who
wants to grow with the organization.
Majority of the employee base is located in the Americas, with more than half based in NY. The
working schedule for this position is M-F. Our preference for hours would be 8a-5p Eastern Time,
but we are open to 8a-5p Central European Time as well.
Responsibilities
Leverage Oracle OTM modules to solve complex business problems
Participate in full projects from concept to launch, with architectural and technical
responsibilities
Manage defects by determining root cause, implement corrective action and document
findings in Zendesk ticketing tool
Monitor and maintain system health monitors so deviations from the norm are detected
early
Work directly with business partners to define/refine requirements in Solution and
Dashboards
Manage OTM Integrations in both Inbounds and Outbounds with other system (ERP,
Tracking companies)
Work cross-functionally with Wego Supply Chain organization as well as with SCM &
Technical leads on the IT team to produce positive business outcomes for the
organization
Participate in weekly meetings and track project progress in Asana
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information
Systems or related field.
Excellent problem solving skills
Customer-focused and goal-oriented
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Experience with Oracle SQL
5+ years of work experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)
Experience with Oracle Fusion SCM/WMS is a big plus
Able gather requirements, develop and implement solid processes
Detailed understanding of the configuration and architecture of Oracle OTM
