It started with a prayer led by Mr. Rommel A. Requilme, Religious Sector Representative;
followed by the attendance check facilitated by Mrs. Juvy A. Baga-an, SBM Coordinator, then the
school head, Mrs. Lolita C. Navarro expressed her words of welcome, explained the purpose of
the meeting and presented an overview of SIP. She stated that the School Improvement Plan
(SIP) is the main vehicle through which schools will proceed down the path to improvement.
Therefore the Improvement Plan is a document which embodies what a school wants to achieve
and the manner which to achieve these.
She discussed the importance, roles and responsibilities of the School Planning Team and further
discussed and highlighted that the support of SPT was very essential to whatever plans, projects,
and activities of the school.
She also stressed out that the bond between and among the stakeholders must be strengthened
for it was not only shared responsibility but also shared accountability.
It was emphasized that the major function of the SPT in the school community was to craft the
School Improvement Plan.
The school head presented to the body the current situation of the school where the SPT
discussed the issues and concerns that the school has to improve; for the open forum, the SPT
discussed the issues concerning learner’s performance.
These were the programs being discussed and approved by the SPT.
ACCESS – Enrolment, Participation & Promotion
“ See You Through ” – increase learners attendance rate from 90% (164) to 100% (182)
“ Count Me In ” – increase the number of enrolments of school age learners
“ Hold Me On ” – Reduce the dropout rate of 1 learner to 0
“ I Believe I Can Fly “ – increase learners’ participation in all curricular and non-curricular
activities from 60 to 80 learners
“ I Will Survive “ – Sustain number of learners from kindergarten to Grade 6 until they
will graduate
