    間接問句，是在英文裡，擔心原本的問法會太直接時，可以「換個方式提問，

    以表示禮貌的問句」。也就是在句子中的問句。
    1. 疑問副詞 wh-的疑問句，以 wh-為開頭，後面恢復原句，
    亦即 wh- + S + V + ……

    What are they eating?


    What did they eat?
    He asked what they are eating.
    He asked what they ate.

    2. yes/no 的問句，改為 if / whether 開頭的句子，


    亦即 whether / if + S + V + …… (or not)

    She asked whether that is an English word or not.
