TEACHER'S DAY: A DAY FOR UNSUNG HEROES

In honor of the celebration of Teacher's Day, on the 14th of October 2022, the ACLC College of Tacloban
held a special celebration with the theme "The transformation of education begins with teachers," as
proposed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Our dear
teachers, the non-academic staff, the department heads, and the deans gathered to receive a few
surprises from the students. Also, the school director and even the managing director attended to give
some messages and gifts to show their appreciation to the teachers for their hard work.

Teacher's day honors our teachers, who are also known as "unsung heroes," because they are being
heroes in the way they endure all challenges in school. To add up, the School Director of Aclc College of
Tacloban, Raquel Cecilia S. Chua, vividly uttered, "The COVID-19 crisis revealed that, Teachers are the
engines of the hearts of our education system, without their work, it is impossible to provide inclusive,
equitable, and quality education to every learner."

It is an annual celebration to express gratitude to our teachers who have been known for their
personality of being brave, patient, creative, hardworking, and polite.

"In conclusion, they have prepared us for the things we can experience in the future life," John Rotzen
C. Cuenca, Supreme Student Council (SSC) President, said in his introductory speech. "Therefore, we,
students are forever grateful for the support and knowledge that they had thought us, the courage and
self-confidence that they happen merge in every student," he added.

In the support system, the managing director always has the back of the school and especially for
teachers to smoothly manage and offer education for every student. "Me, as a Managing Director, I will
do my best to facilitate and to deliver facilities to the students," Eddie S. Uy, Managing Director of Aclc
College of Tacloban.

Moreover, every student's success starts with the education they learn from their educators, who also
act as the second parent of the learners.

The day was celebrated with love and laughter. Our future would be unimaginable without their
counseling and support. Teachers are searing themselves to make our future brighter. We are always
thankful to every teacher for working on every student's lacking and fulfilling the spaces for learning. We
are not capable of what we are today without your guidance. Thank you for your kindness, love,
support, and knowledge.
