CHAPTER 1 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

1.1 Highlight

1.1.1 Name of the Proposed Business

The name proposed by the proponents for the company is Bambers Co.
They initially evaluated the type of product/s that they will introduce to the market
in the future, all of which have an element of bamboo, which can be seen and
heard in the company's name. In the formation of a business name, it is also
necessary to consider a memorable one that establishes a brand recall for the
target market in order to improve brand awareness and bring in a bigger number
of possible consumers of the company's product, Bam-T Bag. Most significantly,
the term "bomb" can be recognized in the firm's name; in today's world, the
definition of the word bomb has changed; it no longer merely implies explosive
and destructive, but also amazing or of high quality. Bambers Co. strongly
resonates with the term, as the company strives to provide not only innovative
products in the industry, but also products of the best quality and top
functionality.

Since the company wants to promote sustainability and use bamboo as a


primary material in all of their products, they decided to introduce a trademark
that is not only aesthetically pleasing or will match current trends, but also a
graphic that has great meaning and represents the company, the Gold-Colored
Diamond Bamboo. Bambers Co. sought to convey the good aspects of bamboo,
such as its abundance and fast replenishment, which linked to its readiness to
adapt promptly to unexpected business situations. Furthermore, its hue and
diamond form emphasizes the elegance that the company strives to convey in all
of its product offerings. The Bam-T Bag, on the other hand, features a butterfly
logo. A butterfly may signify the company's journey after they began their firm
and introduced their products, in addition to representing the two Bs in the term
Bamboo and the brand name, Bambers. It is a fact that no company can start
and become successful overnight; hence, just as a butterfly's first stage may be
unpleasant, there will always be a time when the firm can completely spread its
magnificent wings and thrive in business.

1.1.3 Vision-Mission Statement

1.1.4 Product Description

Bam-T Bag is an abbreviation for Bamboo Table Bag. It has two primary
functions: a bag that can contain items up to the size of a laptop and a mini table
desk built-in. The main body will be made of leather, while the built-in table will be
made of bamboo. The integrated table measures 40 cm long, 35 cm broad, and
19 cm in height. In the meanwhile, the bag is 42 cm long, 36 cm tall, and 15 cm
broad. The bag will also serve as the table's desk, complete with a little cushion
to keep the devices put within and on top secure and undamaged. It also has
many compartments on the interior, the largest of which is for the laptop and the
smaller ones for gadget accessories such as a charger, mouse, and earbuds. It
weighs 2 kilograms. It is black in color and stays gender-neutral, thus it is not
limited to a specific gender. Furthermore, its supporters seek to make its look or
design visually pleasant so that it may complement whatever themes the user
desires. Entrepreneurs created this new product after examining what students
and professionals require nowadays. Many of them, without a doubt, are
concerned about ergonomics when working digitally. As a result, Bam-T Bag
strives to give them ease and advantage while carrying out their tasks online.

1.1.5 Management/Legal Feasibility

A competent management strives to enhance organizational productivity
by regulating the team's performance and workers to ensure that the company's
core objectives and goals are met. Hence, in this chapter, the vision and mission
statement of the company is written which will serve as one of the employees'
guides on the core values and overall objectives of the company. In line with this,
the employment positions that the Bambers Co. requires are also included in this
part which includes the bagmaker for the direct labor and managerial positions
like operations manager, marketing specialist, financial specialist, and
administrative specialist for the indirect labor. A comprehensive job hiring
process is also included in this part along with the company’s working policies
that would serve as a reminder for the employees about the organization’s
expectations on how they should behave and perform their duties. The salary
offered in different employment positions can be found here as well which is
based and justifiable on the requirements set by the company for each position.
Overall, this chapter contains all the methods and strategies that Bambers Co.
will employ in its management including the personnel development, facilities,
and others that would boost the employees’ performance and improve the total
management of the company.

1.1.6 Marketing Feasibility

In this aspect, all of the marketing and advertising strategies are written,
from the tools and platforms to be used in introducing the product to the market
and up to the chosen advantageous location of the business. But firstly, to
ensure that the company will attract its target market, it has created an innovative
product that would fulfill the needs of its prospective customers which is the need
for an ergonomic and eco-friendly laptop product that would boost productivity
and prevent health-related issues when working for a longer period of time. This
product is the Bam-T bag which has two primary functions: a bag that can
contain items up to the size of a laptop and a mini table desk built-in.
Furthermore, the target market was taken into consideration in choosing the
business location, this has allowed the company to effectively evaluate the
location’s capability in contributing to the business success. Specifically, the

location is located at 53 Atherton St. North Fairview Park Subdivision which is a
highly commercialized area. It has an advantage because there are no
neighboring rivals, although it is close to well-known convenience stores, salons,
and fast-food restaurants that people visit. For the tools and advertising tools, the
company will use famous social media platforms such as Facebook and
Instagram and it will also use E-commerce platforms giants such as Shopee and
Lazada to maximize business channel opportunities. On the other hand, for the
physical type of promotion, the company will employ tarpaulins in their store to
boost brand recognition as well as offer promo coupons for every purchase on
the first month of operation that entails up to a 5% discount. To sum it up, this
chapter entails the overall strategies that will be used by the company to
introduce the product, boost brand awareness, and most importantly, maximize
and enhance profits.

1.1.7 Technical/Operations Feasibility

Technical feasibility assesses the proposed product's technical


complexity, Bam-T Bag, and typically entails analyzing if the product can be
manufactured using cutting-edge techniques and tools. Hence, the proponent's
technical objectives include maintaining the highest quality of the product and
investing in a more advanced technology for a boost in productivity. Furthermore,
establishing how the product will be developed is a crucial and difficult
component of technical feasibility. Consequently, Bam-T Bag created through a
systematic process can be a significant determinant of its quality, making it
critical to the product's and company's success. That is why the entire
manufacturing process is documented and detailed in this chapter. The materials'
suppliers are also crucial. Hence, the proponents have chosen an established
supplier from Marikina for the bag, Quezon City for the bamboo table, and
Parañaque for the packaging. In addition, while the desirable attributes of a
Bam-T Bag will be determined by the bagmakers' skill and creativity, the bag
must be reliable and durable enough to serve its purpose efficiently despite
technical complexities. Thus, technical feasibility considers the big picture, such
as adequate financing, excellent equipment and tools, a desirable business
location, enough time, and sufficient and productive human resources.

1.1.8 Financial Feasibility

It's critical to have the appropriate assessment of a potential business'


financial capabilities, especially if you want to make an informed judgment
regarding its feasibility. It is important for a company to be able to survive, pay its
employees, and, of course, generate a profit. Moreover, the total start-up funds
required, the financial performance of similar enterprises, and the overall
financial attractiveness of the proposed company are the most essential factors
to examine at this point. Hence, an evaluation and projection of Bamber's
Company expenses, sales, revenues, assets, liabilities, and cash flow will be
discussed. Major financial assumptions – such as the income will be distributed
equally to the 10 partners of the company, utilities and office supplies expenses
will increase by 5% annually – are also considered. A systematic method for
estimating the selling price for Bam-T Bag is also carried out, which involves
calculating all the variable costs and a 30% mark-up through the cost-plus
method. This aspect has also shown the projected numbers of production each
year that will help Bambers Co. have a positive income on its operating years.
This will help Bambers Co. to avoid probable difficulties during development and
save money while doing so, as well as maybe uncover new market prospects.

1.1.9 Socio-Economic Feasibility

be treated fairly and affected positively. Bambers must ensure they are held
accountable and have clear plans if any misconduct or actions done by the
company has negatively affected them. Moreover, they must ensure that the
business will be operating without compromising the resources of the future
generation, thus, environmental factors of the business' operation are also

environmental issues today, most remarkably climate change. Lastly, an
assessment of the external environment and its competitiveness in the market
will also be discussed here through the use of SWOT and PEST analysis. In
SWOT Analysis, the proponents have found innovation, flexible design,
eco-friendly and price as their strengths while competitive location and trends in
modern and futuristic designs are part of their opportunities. Their weakness and
threats, on the other hand, includes low sales in the first year, brand reputation
and capital, technological development, and customer preferences. Meanwhile,
the proponents have identified political, economic, social, and technological
factors that could directly or indirectly affect the company in a positive or negative
manner. Factors such as how the current political parties' position regulate the
economy, lifestyle of consumers/customers, and technological advancements
would have an impact on the business, thus they must be ready for that.

The conducted feasibility has been a great experience and tool for the proponents to
have an in-depth knowledge of the prospective business. It geared them to become wise
and rational in every decision-making and planning for the business. The introduced
proposed product has innovations and promotes sustainability that is created to solve
the current problems of this ever-changing world, particularly amidst the COVID-19
pandemic. The marketing analysis and strategies have also resulted in a positive
outcome claiming that there is a growing demand for the product and the target market
has a higher chance of purchasing it. The proponents have also been prepared and
challenged to learn about certain regulations and standards that must be implemented in
the business to ensure ethical and fair operations. Moreover, the proponents have also
considered their impact on society and how they should make an effort to contribute to
our society. The technical complexities have also been explored and questions such as
who and how the product will be manufactured, what is the equipment needed, and
where is the perfect location for the business have been thoroughly answered. Although
there may be chances that the business will experience a shortage of finance in the first
year, the business has been proven to be financially viable in its succeeding years.

strongly resonates with the term, as the company strives to provide not only innovative
products in the industry but also products of the best quality and top functionality.

table and can hold anything up to the size of a laptop. The table is constructed of
bamboo, and the majority of the bag is made of leather. The Bam T Bag may be carried

5.2.1.2 Terms and Contract

Terms and conditions are the terms of the legal contract that
regulates the business relationship between you and your customer for
the supply of goods or services (Net Lawman, 2022). It defines the key
business terms you provide to your customers and assists contractual
parties in understanding their obligations, rights, roles, and
responsibilities.

The following agreement terms are in effect between Bambers


Co. and the retailer/wholesaler. Thus, the following are the essential
terms that must be kept confidential throughout the agreement between
the two parties.

1) Services
Bambers Co. guarantees to assist and provide great service to
consumers and sellers who acquire the Bam-T Bag product, as the
product will provide benefits to people who purchase such products from
the business. The company will also provide services to ensure that any
inquiries concerning the company and its goods are promptly answered.

2) Product
Bambers Co. pledges to produce products made with care and
delicate techniques that will definitely fulfill the budgets of customers and
sellers, also ensuring their loyalty and reducing the risk and cost of
repairing damaged items.

3) Employees
The Bambers Co. will assure that employees are knowledgeable
on their assigned duty or work in the workplace, as well as understanding
the business and its products, in order to avoid any issues or
misunderstandings to the customers and sellers. In addition, the Labor
Code of the Philippines (Presidential Decree No. 442) will be obeyed.
This is the Philippine labor law or legal code that controls employment
practices and labor relations in the country.

4) Replacement/Return Policy
The company will assess the replacement and return of the
damaged items or products, only if it is confirmed that there really is a
problem with the product's quality and the receipt or proof of purchase for
the product. The managers are assigned to examine the goods that
consumers return and process the replacement of the damaged item or
product. On the contrary, if two weeks or more have passed since the
purchase of the product, Bambers Co. will not offer any more refund or
replacement for the purchased item.

5) Technical Equipment
The manufacturers will ensure that the equipment required to
completely manufacture and produce the Bam-T Bag are in a good
working condition. By ensuring that a regular maintenance on the
equipment will be performed to assure that the materials used in making
the product are always of top quality to avoid any product defects, as this
is crucial to the growth of any new product in the market.

that are completely foreign outside the firm. By doing that, Bambers Co.
will distribute a policy handbook that covers the company’s rules and
regulations, safety procedures, and many other topics in order to
enlighten staff or employees about the company's policies and
procedures. Hence, this will establish clear expectations for workers while
also outlining the company's legal duties and recognizing employee
rights. Moreover, the company will also provide trainings to the
employees in order to enhance their corporate skills, limiting or
decreasing workplace accidents cause by employees with insufficient

Laptop Table

Step 1: Gather all the necessary tools and equipment in making the table.

Step 2: The bagmaker will start creating first the platform of the table which must be

matched to the provided measurements.

Step 3: After that, next to be created is the legs or stand of the table. It should be

noted that the leg/stand must be diagonal when standing and can be folded.

Laptop Bag

Step 1: The bagmaker will prepare all the necessary tools and equipment needed,

Step 5: The right side of the bag, which is where the table will be put in, is the next to

create since it is crucial to know how the table will fit into the bag.

with it then proceed on sewing the second bag and the pockets inside.

Step 7: Finally, the two sides will be attached to each other as well as the table in the

inside of the bag.

along with hook-and-loop fastener on the side of the bag where the platform of the

table is faced to make a stand for laptop or any devices.

Step 9: To finalize the bag, the bagmaker will attach the shoulder strap and now the

bag is done and ready to be tested and marketed.

its marketing strategy. Companies are extremely aware that they should satisfy their
customers not only with a good product but also with outstanding packaging. Whether a
product is bought online or in a shop, the packaging is the first thing the consumer sees,
and it often makes an impression. This first impression will continue to reflect on the
product and the entire business. The importance of packaging has grown in recent
years, with an increase in consumers recording 'present opening' and 'unboxing'
moments on social media. This rising trend illustrates that brand packaging can be a
powerful marketing tool. As for the measurements, it is 45 cm long, 18 cm tall, and 38
cm wide.

The Bambers came up with the minimalist packaging that allows Bam-T Bag to
stand out from the crowd. Minimalist package design removes uncertainty and difficulty
from the decision-making process, and customers are drawn to the cleanliness of the
marketing message; it also saves money by eliminating as much trash as possible. The
product packaging is composed of cardboard, which helps to keep moisture out of the
product. It is also 100 percent recyclable and biodegradable, degrading fully in a
maximum of one year if it is exposed to favorable environmental conditions

area in close proximity to prominent landmarks. The term "neighborhood map"

these maps are very essential because the proponents can use them to
advertise the ideal location for their business. It helps them to organize the

A floor plan is a scale diagram of a room that shows the arrangement of


furnishings in a business setting. It will help to visualize what the end result will
be like so that you can evaluate it more ahead of time and make revisions if
needed. A floor plan gives businesses the information that they are looking for
about the business setting's structures, layouts, and other features. Floor plans
also give them a good idea of how the business will be implemented and what
other factors to consider.

The company creates a floor plan for customers to quickly recognize the
importance of each area that the customers will look at each time they go to buy

the proposed product or ask for assistance. The company's area has a total of
150 square meters, however, this will not be fully used by the company as some
of the areas are also occupied by other people. For the garage which will
primarily be utilized for the whole store, there are 32 square meters, the hallway

A production schedule lists each product that will be produced, as well as where

month and will end by the second week. This month's purchases of materials and

Good Day! We are Grade 12 students from Lagro High School's Accountancy,
Business, and Management strand, section Zobel. We humbly invite you to participate in
this survey, which is related to the current feasibility study that we are conducting on our
product called "Bam-T Bag." The name of the product is a shortcut for Bamboo Table
Bag, and it is a multipurpose product that includes both a bag that can contain items up
to the size of a laptop and a built-in mini laptop table that you can take with you

● Consent Form

Purpose of the Study - The goal of the study is to determine the feasibility of the
product (Bam-T Bag) in the target market, that covers the product's marketability as well
as profitability. It also seeks to further uncover the product's weak and strong features,
which will be useful in improving it to better match the needs of the target market,
particularly in this category of product.

Participation and Duration - This is a completely voluntary survey. Individuals can


choose whether or not to participate. They will be asked if they agree or disagree with all
of the stated terms and conditions in the last part of this consent form. They have the
right to withdraw at any point even after consenting. The survey's questions concentrate
around their experiences with laptop bags and/or laptop tables, as well as their thoughts
on the Bam-T Bag, a multipurpose product. This survey will only take 8 to minutes to
complete.

Risks - Sharing of information online always has equivalent risks. However, in this
survey, Google forms (Gform), a widely known and secured survey administration
software is employed, thus the risk associated with online information sharing will be
eliminated.

Benefits - Given that the respondents are also the target market of the researchers,
they will be able to have advanced information about it before even officially launching
the product to the market.

Compensation - Participating in this survey will not lead in any financial transactions,
such as a payment from the researchers that will be given to the respondents in
exchange for their time.

Confidentiality - The researchers ensure that all responses will be kept private and
used solely for scholarly purposes. Despite the fact that all participants must have an
email address, they have the option of not typing their names as they will be
de-identified and anonymised in every research note or document through the

assignment of code numbers. The Data Privacy Act of the Philippines, officially known
as Republic Act 10173, will be observed in this study.

Product Description and Illustration

Bam-T Bag is short for Bamboo Table Bag. It has two main functions: a
bag that can hold items up to the size of a laptop and a built-in mini table desk. It
will primarily be constructed of leather while the built-in table will be made from
bamboo. The built-in table has a size of 40 cm long, 35 cm wide, and 19 cm tall.
Meanwhile, the bag's size is 42 cm long, 36 cm tall, and 15 cm wide. The
bag will also act as the table's desk that includes a small cushion to keep the
gadgets placed within and at the top safe and undamaged. It also includes
various pockets inside, the largest is for the laptop and the smaller ones are for
the device accessories such as charger, mouse, and earphones. It has a weight
of 2 kilograms.

Terms and Contract

Retailer Agreement

This Retailer Agreement, made and entered into this day of 2022, by and
between Bambers Co. hereinafter called the seller and, ,
hereinafter called retailer. Hereby agree as follows:

WHEREAS, Bambers Co. wishes to sign a contract with retailers on a non-exclusive


basis of Bam-T Bag.

WHEREAS, Retailers wish to purchase from Bambers Co. orders from time to time.

WHEREAS, Both parties agree that the terms of the relationship between seller and
retailer shall be governed by this agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration for the mutual covenants and agreements herein,
Bambers Co. and Suppliers agree as follows:

1. Services

Bambers Co. guarantees to assist and provide great service to consumers and
sellers who acquire the Bam-T Bag product, as the product will provide benefits
to people who purchase such products from the business. The Corporation will
also provide services to ensure that any inquiries concerning the company and
its goods are promptly answered.

2. Product

Bambers Co. pledges to produce products made with care and delicate
techniques that will definitely fulfill the budgets of customers and sellers, also
ensuring their loyalty and reducing the risk and cost of repairing damaged items.

3. Employees

The Bambers Co. will assure that employees are knowledgeable on their
assigned duty or work in the workplace, as well as understanding the business

and its products, in order to avoid any issues or misunderstandings to the
customers and sellers. In addition, the Labor Code of the Philippines
(Presidential Decree No. 442) will be obeyed. This is the Philippine labor law or
legal code that controls employment practices and labor relations in the country.

4. Replacement/Return Policy

The Company will assess the replacement and return of the damaged items or
products, only if it is confirmed that there really is a problem with the product's
quality and the receipt or proof of purchase for the product. The managers are
assigned to examine the goods that consumers return and process the
replacement of the damaged item or product. On the contrary, if two weeks or
more have passed since the purchase of the product, Bambers Co. will not offer
any more refund or replacement for the purchased item.

5. Technical Equipment

The manufacturers will ensure that the equipment required to completely


manufacture and produce the Bam-T Bag are in a good working condition. By
ensuring that a regular maintenance on the equipment will be performed to
assure that the materials used in making the product are always of top quality to
avoid any product defects, as this is crucial to the growth of any new product in
the market.

Terms and Contract

Commercial Lease

The Commercial Lease Agreement is made this day of 2022, by and


between Bambers Co. and Landlord. In consideration of the mutual covenants herein
contained , the parties agree as follows:

1. Monthly Payment

The lessee will pay a monthly rent of 6,000 pesos to the lessor via bank deposit
only, it may vary unless requested by the landlord.

2. Condition of the Commercial Space

The landlord must ensure that the commercial space is occupiable, any damages
in the space before the lessee moves in must be shouldered by the lessor. The
landlord shall equip the following utilities or facilities for the benefit of the
occupant:

● Electricity
● Water
● Internet

These things must be readily available in commercial space and will be paid by
the lessee.

3. Parking Spaces

Landlords agree that Bambers Co. including its guests, employees and
customers has the right to use any of the parking spaces.

4. Renewable Contract

The contract is renewable every six (6) months within this day the landlord has
no right to lease the property to other possible lease.
