I. Objectives
At the end of the discussion the students should be able to:
Discusses the nature of different recreational activities.
II. Subject Matter

III. Procedure

1. Preparatory Activity
• Prayer
• Checking of attendance
• Drill

B. Review
Ask the students to enumerate the different recreational activities they know and
let them describe each activity.
C. Motivation
Show a video presentation of different recreational activities and ask the students
to identify the activities shown. After that, ask them to choose their top three
favorite recreational activities.
D. Presentation
1. Activity

Divide the class into groups and assign each group a different recreational
activity. Ask them to come up with a short presentation about the nature of
the activity, its benefits, and how it can be done. They should also include
safety precautions and guidelines.

2. Analysis

After the presentations, ask the class to identify the similarities and
differences among the different recreational activities presented. Guide the
discussion towards the different benefits of each activity and how it can
contribute to an individual’s physical, social, and emotional well-being.
3. Abstraction

Discuss the importance of engaging in recreational activities and how it can


help individuals achieve a work-life balance. Relate it to the different
demands of the K to 12 curriculum and how engaging in recreational
activities can help students manage stress and stay healthy.

4. Application

Give the students a real-life scenario where they need to plan a recreational
activity for a group of people. They should identify the nature of the activity,
the venue, the equipment needed, and the safety precautions that should
be observed.
IV. Evaluation

1. What are the benefits of engaging in recreational activities? Answer:


Recreational activities can help individuals achieve a work-life balance, manage
stress, and stay healthy.

2. Why is it important to observe safety precautions when engaging in recreational


activities? Answer: Observing safety precautions can prevent accidents and
injuries.

3. What are the different recreational activities that can be done indoors? Answer:
Examples of indoor recreational activities include board games, video games, and
dancing.

4. How can engaging in recreational activities contribute to an individual's social


well-being? Answer: Engaging in recreational activities can help individuals build
friendships and social connections.

5. What are the different outdoor recreational activities that can be done in the
Philippines? Answer: Examples of outdoor recreational activities in the Philippines
include hiking, swimming, and surfing.

V. Assignment

Ask the students to come up with a plan for their top three favorite recreational activities.
They should identify the nature of the activity, the venue, the equipment needed, and the safety
precautions that should be observed.
