Hydraulic Lift
MATERIALS
A 21cm x 29cm piece of cardboard
A piece of cardboard of 7cm x 5cm
12 wooden popsicle sticks
14 thumbtacks
Silicone gun
Two syringes of 5ml
One syringe sleeves
Four skewer stick
An iron spike
A little water
STEPS
1. With the help of the skewer we make three holes in all the pallets, one in the middle and others on the
sides.
2. Place two pallets in the shape of an x and put them together with a thumbtack in the middle holes and
seal them with silicone. Repeat this with all the pallets.
3. We place half of the pallets in a row as a braid and we join them with the pins at the ends forming a
retractable braid.
4. Repeat the process and form two braids.
5. In the holes at the corners of one of the braids we place the four skewer sticks and glue them with
silicone.
6. We place the other braid on top and fit the skewers and glue them with silicone.
7. We place horizontally and on the cardboard we glue one of the kabob sticks.
8. We put the tube in the syringe and glue it with silicone, the other end we glue it in the other syringe.
9. We fill a syringe with water.
10. We glue the empty syringe next to the skewer that has mobility and the other full syringe to the other
end of the cardboard.
11. Finally we glue the small cardboard on the x-shaped paddles.
12. And ready we have the homemade hydraulic elevator based on Pascal's principle.
