ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I am overwhelmed in all humbleness and gratefulness to acknowledge our depth to
all those who have helped us to put these ideas, well above the level of simplicity and into
something concrete. I would like to express my special thanks and gratitude to my lecturer
Dr Azamuddin bin Husin who gave me the golden opportunity to do this laboratory report,
which also helped me in doing a lot of research through video presentation and I came to
know about so many new things. I really thankful to him.

Any attempt at any level can I will be satisfactorily completed without the support and
guidance of our parents and friends. I would like to thanks to my other classmates who
helped lot in gathering different information, collecting data and guiding us from time to time
in making this laboratory report to success, despite of their busy schedules they gave different
ideas in completion of this report.

Finally, I was grateful and want to express our deepest thanks to each of my classmate
members for help and guidance between each other. We helped each other in order to
completed this report.

ABSTRACT

Based on the studies, the importance in using electricity is very important nowadays
for human being. This is because electricity is giving most advantages to human in their lives.
Therefore, by having research on this electricity, we will know where the source of electricity
go through when it being used.

Electrical power systems have traditionally been regarded as falling within the
province of the facilities engineering profession. However, there are several reasons for
clinical engineers to be knowledgeable in this area. First, clinical engineers are increasingly
involved in renovation and construction projects for healthcare facilities. The electrical power
system is a key component of facility design, and a well-designed electrical power system is
critical for the safe and effective performance of medical devices. Therefore, the clinical
engineer must be cognizant of the major design issues and able to contribute to the design
process.

1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background of Topic

Electricity system is an electric system consists of all of the elements needed to
distribute electrical power, including overhead and underground lines, poles, transformers,
and other equipment. The electric system in a small industrial unit will normally be powered
by a three-phase supply. An electric power system is a network of electrical components
deployed to supply, transfer, and use electric power. An example of a power system is the
electrical grid that provides power to homes and industries within an extended area.

In electrical power systems, various shapes of buried earth electrode systems are used
and approximate formula are available to enable the calculation of the equivalent resistance
to remote earth of common types of electrode systems. At power frequency, the inductive
component of the impedance of the earth electrode system is very small and is usually
neglected. The earth electrode system is designed to have a resistance, so that the voltage rise
with respect to remote earth is limited to a certain value. For example, if the maximum earth
fault current flowing through this resistance is 10 kA and the earth electrode potential rise is
to be limited to 1 kV, the earth electrode should be designed to have a resistance of less than
or equal to 0.1 Ω.

1.2 Aim of study

To understand the process of the electricity sources in the house and learn
about simple electricity in our house that we used in our daily life.

1.3 Objectives

a) Explain how electrical energy is supplied to devices in a circuit.

b) Use electrical symbols to draw simple circuit diagrams.

c) Relate power to voltage and current in a working circuits

2.2 The intake of the electric from TNB power line

The source was taken from TNB to the house. The TNB was located near to
the house. It was connected through the TNB power line by wiring and connect it to
the house which it is connected to our main source inside the house, Switching
Substation (SSU). The SSU will be connected to the subcircuits before the source of
electricity go to the other source that used electricity. For example, the source that
will be connected with the bedroom. Through the wiring, we already connected all
source of electricity. From the subcircuits, the source go through the wiring and flow
through the switch before it goes to the fluorescent tube and fan.

3.0 CONCLUSION

In conclusion, we were able to know about our electricity in our house. Electricity is
an important resource that demands respect. All known systems for the transmission of
energy or information are the one way systems.
