People´s lives are changed every day by their actions and experiences. By making bad decisions some people have
punishments and if it is taken legally, community service or fines can be considered.
It is not a matter of science to agree that community service takes time and work. Not only, prisoners carry the
guilt of their crime by working off to the community, but they reflect and show remorse for their actions. Whereas
if they are able to pay the fine, they can get it over with it within seconds.
However, sometimes community service is their only way out and putting sweat onto their regretted actions makes
the criminals contemplate if what they did was worth it and the same community they misbehaved in, benefits
from it.
I have no doubt that paying a fine is not something people forget about it instantly but doing community service is
a way of punishment provided by the law to help prisoners understand that their actions have consequences.
Overall, I sympathize with the idea of community service working better for criminals rather than paying their
fines, since not only prisoners will work their way up to their freedom but in the end, they learned a lesson.
