Reflection Paper

There are many factors that results to child labor, some of the factors are poverty,
exploitation, force labours, and more. Poverty is one of the reason and I think is the major reason
why children are being laboured. From the fact that most of the poor people don’t have jobs to
provide for their family (if they do, it tends to be not enough to support for their family) some
parents forced their children to do labour, if not forced by their family, the children are taking
initiatives to do their part, even thou they are not entitled to do so. In a documentary show called
“The Atom Araullo Specials” in an episode called “Munting Bisig” hosted by Atom Araullo, it
shows how the children were able to do labour despite of their young age, due to the reasons I
mentioned above. “It takes a community to raise a child, but it also takes a community to abuse
one”. This matter is an urgent concern considering that a numerous amount of people are involve
in making the children to do labour. Adults are supposed to take care of a child’s well-being and
guide them through the cruelty of this world, but some of the adults are doing the contrary. Order
and unity are one of the factors to achieve a better country, by taking care of this concern as
swiftly as possible, I believe that we can achieve a better country where negativity and disunity
cannot grow and foster. There are many laws, and orders that our government proposed and
implemented trough out the years to combat against child labour. The government also raised a
program called 4Ps to help poor family to get through the day, enable for the kids to refrain from
working. I believe that by strengthening these laws and programs, we can be able to eradicate
child labour.

Contractualization is the practice of having labourers to enter in a contract where the

workers are hired labourers to do a certain job for a specific time (not more than six month). Just
like any other subjects, ENDO has its pros and cons. After I weighted the facts and considering
its benefits and doubts, I am up for ENDO. I believe that contractualization is a great help to both
parties (employee & employer). As an ABM student and as a future business man, I believe that
conractualization should be completely legalized. It can help the employers to seek for the best
person for the position for a better business. If a business is going well, then so as the economy.
Contractualization can also help the employees to fill their job experiences and to do better at
what they’re doing in motivation of regularization.
