Quick Reference Card

This quick-reference card provides concise instructions for actions in emergency situations.
Make yourself familiar with the card contents so that you can assist patients effectively in an emergency.

IMPORTANT
This card does not in any way replace the Overview & Safety Manual, which provides detailed safety-related information and
instructions pertaining to the use and servicing of the system.

Safety Events
Perform the following steps in sequence
in case of:

Evacuation Patient-related Power

(earthquake, emergency shortage
flood, fire, etc.) See

Stop motion:
 Press one of the motion emergency STOP buttons. 1
 or
 Press any key or foot pedal to stop any automated motion.
Disconnect system power and shut down motion:
 Press the system emergency OFF button. 2

 Release the detectors using the foot pedals.

Manually release the detectors:

  Turn the knob on the upper detector. 3

   Assist the patient out of the chair.

Identify the quickest evacuation route from the room and assist
  the patient out of the room.

 3 Detector manual release mechanism

 Turn one of the knobs on the upper

4 Power up / reset after pressing system emergency OFF button

1. Make sure there is no patient near the

system.
2. If the system emergency OFF button A
was pressed, turn the button clockwise to
reset it A.
3. Turn on the MAIN POWER switch B on F
the power panel at the rear of the gantry.
4. Turn on the acquisition station C.
5. Enter the login and password, then wait
until the application loads.
6. Unlock the detectors F.

7. Using the rotation keys E, move the
gantry to the horizontal position until the
D
Rotation angle is displayed (no longer
shows N/A).
8. Using the up/down keys D or foot
pedals, move the Detector Pair to
approximately the middle of the height
range, until the Height value is
displayed (no longer shows N/A).
9. Using the pedals, move the upper
detector until the distance between the B
detectors is approximately 19 cm and the
Distance value is displayed (no longer
shows N/A). 
