Part 1: Overview

Prerequisites
For this exercise, you will need:
 Internet connection
 Access to the Thales Training Platform

Duration
This training course will take approximately 30 minutes.

 Learn how to configure CipherTrust Clustering

Part 2: Configuring CipherTrust 2.3

In Part Two, you will learn how to set the CipherTrust Cluster between two CipherTrusts.

Section 1: Configuring CipherTrust Clustering

1. Open Windows Server from the training platform.
2. Open your browser and enter the CipherTrust IP Address as the site name.
The Login window opens.
3. Enter the following:

User admin

Password Thales123!

4. On the left pane, click Admin Settings > Cluster.

5. Click Manage Cluster.

6. Click Add Cluster.

Note: The first step in configuring a CM Cluster, is to initially create only the first Cluster, and
thereafter, add the CipherTrusts Nodes to the Cluster.

7. Click Next.

8. Type the IP of the CM that you logged into (10.160.10.10) twice, and then click Save.

The Cluster is created. The Cluster contains only the local CM Server.

9. Click Manage Clusters > Add node.

10. Type the IP of the second CipherTrust Manager 10.160.10.11 twice, and then click Add Node.

11. The CipherTrust Web UI of the second CipherTust appears, authenticate to the Web UI to save the settings,
user: admin password: Thales123!

12. Click Join.

13. Click Finish.

Note: Connecting from the second CipherTrust Server to the Cluster may take a few min.

The second CipherTrust node is connected to the Cluster.

Section 2: Testing the Cluster

1. Log into the first CipherTrust (10.160.10.7) Web UI.
2. On the left pane, click Keys.
3. Click Create New Key.
4. Set a name to the key and click Create, scroll down and click Update.
5. Log in to the second CipherTrust (10.160.10.8) web UI.
6. On the left pane, click Keys.
7. Verify that the key, which was created on the first CM, was copied to the second CM.
