MS TEAMS:

The coronavirus pandemic is in full swing and has not shown any signs of slowing down. As a part of
this effort, businesses and Universities across the country have sent their staff members and students
home and asked them to work from home. As more and more employees are required to work from
home during the coronavirus pandemic, MS Teams helped everyone to keep working from home.
“Microsoft Teams is your hub for teamwork in Office 365. All your team conversations, files,
meetings, and apps live together in a single shared workspace, and you can also run this app
on tour mobile phones wherever you are. Whether you’re sprinting towards a deadline or
sharing your next big idea, Teams can help you achieve more."

There are many benefits using the MS teams, furthermore MS teams has made our lives easy in
this pandemic. Either be it student, office worker etc.

Some of the benefits of using MS teams are:

ONLINE MEETINGS:
An online meeting is when individuals in various locations connect at the same time using
technology to accomplish a shared goal. Many of us haven’t had as many video meetings in our
whole lives as in the past six months. During lockdown, online meetings became the new norm
for employees and companies all around the world. During COVID-19, individuals have spent
more than 5.5 billion minutes in online meetings.

Some benefits for online meetings are:

 REDUCED TIME WASTAGE:

Since lockdown, people are acutely aware how easy it is to get tired in online meetings
Online meetings can be surprisingly draining, which is why most people want to keep
them as quick as possible.  More efficient, shorter meetings with fewer employees that
cut to the point and get the job done faster is clearly good news. Freeing up more space
for everyone to get on with the important tasks that matter . Online meeting is a time
saver.

 EASIER TO COST:
When all your meetings are digital, it becomes infinitely easier to quantify all the time
your company spends on different catch-ups and meetings whether for some purposes or
for billing clients accurately. Having a digital record of all meeting time, you can
instantly see which meetings cost you the most both in time and money. Automatic
meeting trackers can record precisely how long a meeting took, who attended, and the
follow-up work it created and that record will be far more accurate than notes or manual
timers used during in-person meetings. Same goes for the School and Universities.
Teacher can record who was absent, who came late to the online class, who left early.
That’s why MS Teams has made it easier for everyone.

 EASIER TO LEAVE:
Almost all of us have experienced the frustration of sitting in a meeting we have no need
to be in. No matter how annoying it is, it’s still hard to stand up in front of our colleagues
and physically leave the meeting no matter how good our excuse might be. In online
meetings, it’s much easier and far less socially awkward to leave a meeting if it’s not
relevant to you.

 ENHANCED COLLABORATION:
While it’s true that online meeting isn’t as natural or fluid as real-life communication,
and conversations can often be rather forced or stiff, this oddly can make it easier to
brainstorm and collaborate effectively. If only one person’s microphone is able to be
active at one time, this can lead to more balanced collaboration, where everyone gets
their turn and has time and space to talk. All the tools needed for successful online
meetings are still available like whiteboards, screen sharing and can provide suitable
environment.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM
The virtual classroom is the heart of online degree programs a convenient, central place where
your university courses are taught. Many students are happy and satisfied staying indoors and
having an online degree program. Although there are many fundamental similarities between a
physical campus-based education and the online university experience, learning through a virtual
classroom offers many benefits. Here are a few:

 ACCESS THE COURSE WORK FROM ANWHERE & ANYPLACE:

Students have the freedom to study and complete their coursework 24/7 from anywhere
and at any time that suits their busy schedule. If any student is out of town or busy with
something like emergency he can access the course later on or anywhere. All you need is
your laptop or other digital device. Once you log in to the student portal on your online
university’s website, you’re at school. You can access assignments, post homework,
watch faculty presentations, conduct research, contact your teacher and classmates, give
and receive feedback, and access your test grades.

 EFFECTIVE TIME MANAGEMENT:

An online education provides a welcome environment for working adults who need to
balance work and family with the new demands of going back to school. Right away,
students save hours every week not having to commute back and forth to classes on a
campus. Going back to school sharpens your time-management skills, because students
have to be disciplined and find the time to study.

 SYNCHRONIZATION OF STRUCTURE AND FREEDOM:

Online degree programs are built on a structure of weekly assignments and due dates that
students must meet, whether it’s an online test, posting homework, papers, and projects;
watching a faculty presentation; or participating in a discussion with fellow classmates.
However, within the program’s structure you have the freedom to choose the best times
to participate that sync with your schedule.

 ENHANCED DIGITAL SKILLS:

While increasing your knowledge and skills in your area of study, students also be
enhancing your digital skills on the most sophisticated online learning technology. As
students continue to learn and study in an online world, they become confident and
highly productive using interactive online tools such as online tests, drop boxes for
homework, collaboration tools, e-mail communications to faculty and fellow classmates,
and video presentations by faculty.

RECORDED LECTURES
Recording lecture content gives students the ability to personalize their individual learning
experience and learn at their own pace. Recording lectures is a great way to adapt the subject to
your unique learning style. Some of the benefits of recorded lectures are:

 EASY TO ACCESS ANYTIME:

With video lectures, students can learn anywhere from their mobile devices: laptops,
tablets or smartphones. Just make sure the format of your lecture is supported on all
devices.

 LEARNING AT AN INDIVITUAL PACE:

Every teacher knows that each student has his own pace of learning. With video lectures,
all students can learn at their own individual pace, which will maximize the results of e-
Learning.

 EASY TO DELIVER:
Providing students with unlimited access to all your learning materials by uploading
video lectures to the Web or LMS. Alternatively, send your lecture by email or upload it
on MS Teams.

 OPPURTUNITY FOR SELD-STUDY:

In your interactive video lecture, you can refer to more useful materials and resources for
self-study. Also, you can record an additional lecture that complements in-class activities.

 MORE EFFECTIVE LEARNING:

If a student happens to miss one of the lectures, you can send him the link to the lecture
video. This allows all your students to keep up with the curriculum.

ONLINE VIDEO CALLS:

Online video calls on MS Teams can integrate these communications platforms through a set of
telecommunication technologies which allow two or more locations to communicate by
simultaneous two-way video and audio transmissions. This technology can give students, office
workers and employees a complete advantage and benefits. Some of the advantages are:

 REDUCED TIME TRAVEL AND COST:

The oldest recognized benefit of video conferencing is reduced travel time and expenses.
The ability for managers, internal teams, and IT personnel to be in client meetings or
solve issues without leaving their offices can help drive business productivity.

 IMPROVED COMMUNICATIONS:
Because people are calling from different locations, defined start and end-times are often
agreed upon prior to the video call. This allows for a more intensive discussion with less
chit-chat, and participants are more likely to stay alert and focused on what is discussed.
Expressions of satisfaction, concern, or understanding can be addressed more easily than
E-mails. Making video conferencing the closest thing to being there.

 NO TRAVELLING REQUIRED:
With Improved Communications, Online video conference saves time and money instead
of travelling around the world. It save everyone from problems and troubles.
