I am writing to inform you of my interest in applying to be an English teacher at your

school. My resume is enclosed for review and consideration.

I just received my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a major in English at

the University of Southern Mindanao, main campus in Kabacan. The skills that I have
developed and my academic background support my candidacy for the position. Given
my qualifications, I believe that I am qualified to teach at your school.

Aside from being a fast learner, I had received a lot of academic awards from
elementary school through high school. I also participated in leadership development
programs and extracurricular activities. I was a member of the 4H club as well. My
experiences helped me nurture my leadership and communication skills, which I can
use to mold my students effectively.

I am extremely enthusiastic about entering the field of teaching. I know that the practice
teaching I received helped me a lot in building the confidence I have now to pursue my
aspiration of being a professional teacher. I also learned how to deal with students
effectively because of my work experiences, as you can see from my enclosed resume.
