I - Lesson Objectives. At the end of the laboratory activity, the students shall be able to:
1.) Distinguish a frog from a toad
2.) Differentiate a male and female frog
3.) Identify the external anatomical structures of a frog/toad
4.) Demonstrate the basic skills in frog dissection
5.) Identify the appearance and parts of the internal anatomical structures in the frog/toad
II – Contrast. Using the table, differentiate frog and toad then male and female frog/toad.

FROG TOAD
- Thin, wet, smooth skin (covered in mucus) that - Thick, dry skin with bumps and usually
has more color brown
- Slim body type - Stout body type
- Very long legs - Short legs
- Prefers to jump - Prefers to walk or use small hops
- Lives in water (more aquatic) - Lives on land (More terrestrial)
- Lays eggs in cluster - Lays eggs in a chain
- Bulging eyes - Poison glands behind the eyes
- Have teeth in the upper jaw - No teeth

MALE FEMALE
- Relatively smaller in size - significantly larger in size
- Have gripper/nuptial pads on their thumbs - No gripper pads
- reproductive organs (testes) - Reproductive organs (ovary, oviduct)
- Have larger tympanum - Have bumpier (warty) skin
