Autonomous Functional Testing:
Automation of testing process which involves different UI components, broadly speaking Intent recognition, where
actions to perform are identified from plain English, object detection: using bounding boxes and action performing

Extreme Tic-Tac-Toe Bot:

Developed an Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe Bot ,you will have a large 4x4 board where winning =>completing either
row/column or diagonals with your marker .we have achieved this by using Min-Max algorithm by which the
opponent will choose the move that will minimise our winning and we will choose a move that will maximise our
winning and we also implemented an optimization technique using Alpha-Beta Pruning and an Effective Heuristic
function to find the next Optimal Move.

Word Prediction Application :

This project is done to develop a program having industrial application to predict words using TRIE based
dynamic data structure .TRIE is an ordered tree data structure that is used to store a dynamic set or associative
array where the keys are usually strings. The Root Node is always NULL in a trie data structure and the rest of
Nodes contains mainly two components i.e. its children and a marker to indicate a leaf node .

framework and worked on developing the UI of Ninjacart Trader App which is a B2B app, where I created animations

My team and I developed a framework that accepts the float 32-bit model and produces an 8-bit quantized model

Ashutosh Reddy
Hailing from a family where both my parents are math teachers, I have always had a close
association with mathematics. I was very fascinated with the subject as it improved logical
thinking and enhanced my problem solving nature. Due to this inherent interest I naturally
wanted to study engineering to augment my skills and develop my abilities to be a problem
solver. When the question of choosing a specific stream presented itself to me, I picked computer
science because of the fact that it is a leading problem solving course and one of the most
sought after skills in the 21st century. Adding to this is an anecdote from my school times
where I developed a keen interest in C++ because of it being an optional subject. I realized
my potential in competitive programming and wanted to hone my budding skills. Eventually, I
graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. However, an attempt to study masters
is a conscious choice of wanting to be amongst the best of programmers, which I’m sure the
Indiana University Bloomington is an abode to.

The undergraduate program in Computer Science and Engineering at Vellore Institute

of Technology, Tamilnadu, has capacitated me to hone the concepts and principles of Data
structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, Database Management, Computer architecture,
and Machine Learning. The most interesting and important part of the curriculum was Working
on Projects which gave me a hands-on experience to emulate real word problem solving. Having
acquired enough foundation in Data structures and Algorithms, I decide to work on projects
containing advanced data structure usage and targeting different applications as part of which I
have done a word prediction system using Trie data structure. I have executed Auto-Completion
feature of suggesting possible extensions to a partially written text which is widely used in
search engines and code IDEs.

I experienced a multitude of human emotions during my work on a project at Interactive

C shell which is a mini version of the Unix terminal. Implementation of this required a strong
understanding of Unix/Linux command line, familiarity with piping the output of one command
into another. It required not only relevant knowledge and skills, but also one’s active familiarity
with them. From frustration to dejection, from stress to being lost in the way, this project tested
me in multiple facets but at the end of it, I emerged stronger and better: both as an individual
and as a programmer. This very ability of going through tough work without skipping the
learnings it has to offer makes me stand apart as a student which I believe is a necessary
attribute to perform consistently without burnout. This valuable knowledge acquired through
diverse projects and courses equipped me to secure my subsequent internship at Ninjacart,
where I created animations and interactive components using React Native, built a backend API
for data storage using NodeJS and Express framework, also utilized React Native debugging
tools such as Reactotron and Remote JS to identify and fix bugs. By the virtue of it being a
startup, my first employer gave me numerous opportunities to learn in a fast paced environment
and taking up multiple responsibilities at the same time.

 Thereafter, with a strong urge to work in industrial research, I applied to the Samsung
PRISM program during my final year and was among the top 0.5% of the students to be
selected. Under the guidance of Prof. Valarmathy and a Senior Chief Engineer from Samsung
Research Institute Bangalore, my team and I developed a framework that accepts the float
32-bit model and produces an 8bit quantized model that can run on Arm NN runtime. We
processed 200 TB of data and ran it through our model, creating an efficient 8-bit result.
Using asymmetric per channel quantization, we were able to beat the accuracy of previously
used methods and increased performance by 130%. Our research was very successful and
amplified my inherent fascination towards science and technology. In my senior year for the
capstone project I have worked on Automatic Functional Testing in which Intent recognition
from testcase, Object detection for action to be performed on, and performing actions are
the three important tasks. We recognized the intent using POS tagging, for object detection
we used bounding box technique done by extracting dataset from kaggle and have annotated
those images with the bounding box and used them as our training dataset, also used OCR
for the text to differentiate between two similar objects that are recognized and to perform
intended action on the identified object we have used Robotcorder which is internally powered
by selenium.

VIT has helped me cultivate self-compassion and grow as an individual. Stringent deadlines
and timely evaluations of assignments and projects have prepared me to handle pressure in
challenging situations and grow as a good team player. My experience as a teaching assistant
for Data Structures and Algorithms and Theory of Computation courses has refined my
knowledge and prepared me to confidently answer the multitude of questions that students
pose and help them with the project. I was also very active in clubs and chapters : as a
founder and vice chairperson of Zero waste management club I have designed prototype with a
moisture sensor, touch sensor, arduino and servo motor to segregate the dry and wet waste and

My fondness for computer science in tandem with my inclination to take up innovative

projects have motivated me to pursue a Master’s program, hoping to take part in pioneering
