Module 9: Teaching and learning with technology.

Introduction.
These days, technology is becoming increasingly more popular in the teaching-learning

process after the covid-19 pandemic, where face-to-face classes were substituted for

technological platforms in which learners with the help of the teacher learn effectively

and efficiently.

Over the past few years, E-learning has been employed in education due to the covid-19

pandemic, for this reason, language schools and institutions have adopted it for

determining the learner´s progress in learning since it provides the students' feedback in

which they can see their improvement and the understanding of the language, in

addition, different ways were applied of learning with engaging topics catching the

student’s attention in a sophisticated effective way, on the other hand, e-learning offers

for both learners and students the facilitation of search the accurate information they

need at the moment of learning some new things, eLearning being part of the learning of

the modern world, as to educator and student can widespread their teaching and learning

process thought some fantastic and engaging applications and electronic platforms

provided by the internet and various navigators such as google and webpages that

nowadays are essentials for the asynchronous learning and the continuous learning.

Experience.

It was challenging work in which I had to analyze one specific topic called the state of

matter that explained to the learners step by step what they had to do for their final

work.

I used the WebQuest platform which had various sections that allowed me to do the

welcome that was about the welcoming of the topic with a video linked in my

WebQuest, an introduction that was about the presentation of the topic as simple and

understandable for the learners, process it was stepping learners had to follow to do the
final product, the task it was about the explanation of the final work such a make a

video task activities for the four skills listening, reading, writing and speaking and

evaluation that was based on the topic that I have already mentioned above, and finally

the conclusion that was about the summary of the overall topic and the understanding

learner had when doing and read the sections to do the final product.

Keeping that in mind, I could learn to handle some of the eLearning platforms, given

that, I did not have any prior training in learning those important materials for the

teaching and learning process in today’s education.

Conclusion.

As far as I am concerned, in this course, I have learned so much more than I expected

given that, I did not have prior knowledge about handling the platform’s technology

which offers better learning and teaching in today's education.

Another important point I consider most is at present, education is changing even more

over time, and for this reason, it is necessary some methodologies are being applied to

engage the students' attention and their interests and needs, therefore, what I would do

differently in my classes is to elicit the student's prior knowledge for them produce the

language by themselves as long as with the help of the teacher changing the traditional

teaching into the today's teaching, and so allow the students produce the language.
