Topic: 4- What are good and bad experiences foreign visitors often have when they

travel to Vietnam?
Vietnam is a fertile and diverse country with a rich culture. Many foreign tourists
enjoy visiting the natural wonders such as boating, scuba diving or enjoying the cuisine of the
beautiful Ha Long Bay, the lush Mekong Delta and the majestic Fansipan peak. They also
appreciate the friendly and hospitable people, the delicious and varied cuisine, as well as the
vibrant and colorful markets. Vietnam has a lot to offer travelers of all tastes and budgets.

However, not everything in Vietnam is perfect. Some foreign visitors may encounter some
challenges and disappointments during their trip. For example, they may face traffic
congestion and pollution in big cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. They may also have
to deal with scams, overcharging and haggling from some vendors and taxi drivers. They may
experience culture shock and language barriers when communicating with locals. They may
also have to adjust to different climate and sanitary standards in some areas. Vietnam is not
an easy country to travel to, especially for first-timers.

Therefore, foreign tourists who want to have a good experience in Vietnam should learn and
prepare before the trip. They should learn some basic phrases in Vietnamese, respect local
customs and etiquette, be aware of common scams, and how to avoid them. Vietnam is a
worthy destination for those willing to embrace its beauty and diversity.
