We use ‘HAVE TO/HAS TO’ when we think it is necessary to do

something or we are obliged to do it. It shows an external

obligation, giving facts and not opinions.
 I have to wear glasses although I don’t want to.
 My sister has to go to the dentist this afternoon.
 Do you have to work tomorrow?
On the contrary, ‘MUST’ shows an internal obligation because of a
personal opinion. It is also used for rules and instructions.
 Teacher: You must do the homework for tomorrow.
Student: I have to do the homework for tomorrow.
‘MUST’ has no past tense. Instead we use ‘HAD TO’.
 I had to pay a parking ticket yesterday. What bad luck!
