▪ CAD-CAM TECHNOLOGY IS GENERALLY USED IN
AUTOMATING THE CNC MACHINING &
PROGRAMMING PROCESS. CNC MACHINING IS
CALLED, SUBTRACTIVE MANUFACTURING. IN
RECENT YEARS EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES IN 3D
PRINTING HAS TAKEN THE WORLD BY STORM,
BLASTING OPEN THE DOOR TO ENDLESS ADDITIVE
MANUFACTURING INNOVATION, NOT JUST RAPID
PROTOTYPING ANY MORE. 3D PRINTERS ARE
MAKING THINGS WITH BOTH PLASTICS AND
METALS NOW THAT ARE PROVIDING KIDS,
ENGINEERS, INVENTORS AND MANUFACTURERS
THE ABILITY TO PRODUCE AMAZING PRODUCTS
WITH 3D PRINTING MACHINES.
▪ THE PRIMA RY ADVANTAGE WITH CAD-CAM IS
THAT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF SOLID &
SURFACE MODELING FEATURES.

Building Information Modeling (also known as Building Information
Management, abbreviated as BIM) is a process concerning generating and
managing data of certain structures throughout their life-cycles.
It is a way to add and preserve information in a project from its inception,
through its completion, management to its very end. What stands behind
the Building Information Modeling is a three-dimensional model that
consists of information of every single one of its components. The
information is so meticulous and detailed that it covers every possible way
the individual elements can be specified by.

THE CONTRIBUTING FACTORS OF USING BIM ARE:

• Substantially more detailed building documentation
• BIM enhances the cooperation between the individual professions
• Once the building is complete, the data does not get lost, but gets to be used
for management
• Cost-saving technology during construction
• Accelerating the construction time
The new Dodge Data & Analytics report is clear–by 2024 even late-adopting sectors
will be using BIM on the majority of their projects.
Architects
60% of BIM-using architects report using BIM on over half of their projects, with a
total of 89% forecast by 2024.
MEP and structural engineers
51% of BIM-using MEP and structural engineers report using BIM on over half of
their projects, with a total of 80% forecast by 2024.
Civil engineers
46% of BIM-using civil engineers report using BIM on over half of their projects,
with a total of 72% forecast by 2024.
Contractors
41% of BIM-using contractors report using BIM on over half of their projects, with a
total of 69% forecast by 2024.
