INTRODUCTION

 The project blood bank management system is


known to be a pilot project that is designed for
the blood bank together blood from various
sources and distributed it to the needy people
who have high require for it .
 The software is designed to handle the daily
transactions of the blood bank and search the
details when required .
 It also helps to register the details od donors,
blood collection details as well as blood issued
reports
 The software application is designed in such a
manner it can suit the needs of all blood bank
requirements in the course of future.

PROBLEMS The blood bank management system project aims to make all the
procedures automated and therefore with computer system it can be more
fast and accurate.

This project is a high quality software to manage all these cumbersome


jobs.
ASSUMPTIONS

A Blood Bank stores blood of various blood groups. The system has six main entities:
1.Donor: Many donors donate blood, each of different blood types. Also, a donor may
donate blood more than once and he is identified by a donor id , name, gender, age,
address and phone number.
2.Blood: The blood donated by the donor is characterized by blood type and code
 we should store the amount of blood the donor donated
3.Receptionist: Before each donor donates his blood, he is required to register himself as
a donor with the receptionist who works at the Blood Bank. The receptionist is identified
by id, name, address, phone number and email.
 we should store the Register date which is also the Donate date.
4.Hospitals: The Blood Bank receives orders for blood from many hospitals for
emergency purposes and other surgical requirements and each blood bank issues the
same of required blood type. The hospitals are identified by id, name, address, email and
phone number.
5.Blood Bank: Each blood bank has its own blood bank id, manager id name, address ,
phone and email.
6.Manager: The Blood Bank is managed by the blood bank manager who is identified by
id, name, email and phone number. He is responsible for the proper management of the
blood bank.
CONSTRAINTS
 Manual Document and data entry
 Only web-based system is available no
mobile based system is available.
 Less Security
 No proper coordination between different
Applications and Users.
 Cannot upload and download the latest
updates at right time
APPLICATIONS

• Ensures hospitals have good supply or inventories of blood bags.


• List the availability of blood bags at any given time.
• Ability to manage the information of its blood donor.
• Alerts for blood requirement from registered donors.
• Auto-check if the person donated blood in the last 3 months.
• Allows good documentation about the donor and their blood donation activities.
• Support fast searching to find match blood bags for the right person

Modules of blood management system

1)Login Page-This module is for employees of blood banks to log in so that only they can
access the database
2) Person module:
This module is used to store all the personal details of the donor or receiver.
3) Donor Module-This module is used to record the date and time along with the quantity
of blood donated by a person. Personal details are accessed using a person ID
4) Receiver module-In this module date and time, the quantity of blood received along
with hospital details is recorded.
5)Stock module-Here we can check the availability of each blood group blood
