2 General
The MPH shall to be used as an enclosure for one MMU (2x2, 4x2/8 or
2x2-34+2) in the MINI-LINK systems.

3 Design and Performance

3.1 Functional Design

The MPH consists of the following functions:

• Shelter for one MMU

• Cooling systems (cooling fins and sun protection)

• Cable interface

• Support for mast and wall installation

3.2 Cooling

Cooling fins on the rear side of the MPH provides cooling for one MMU.

3.2.1 Sun Protection

The MPH is provided with a Sun Protection Shield (see figure below).

The Sun Protection Shield protects the MPH from the effects of solar
radiation, in order to reduce the inside temperature.

4 Electrical Characteristics
4.1 Grounding

The MPH case has connection for protective earth,

see paragraph 5.3.

5 Interface
5.1 External Interface

5.1.1 Mechanical Interface

The MPH can be mounted to a pole (mast) with a diameter of 50-120 mm by

using the Pole mount set.

It can also be mounted on a wall by using the Wall mount set.

5.1.2 Electrical Interface

In the bottom of the MPH there is cable bushings for following type of cables
mounted in a the connector interface (lay-out see figure below):

• One DC cable (Ø 6-10 mm)

• One Traffic cable (Ø 6-10 mm)

• One NCC cable (Ø 6-10 mm) or similar

• One O&M cable (Ø 6-10 mm) or similar

• One Radio cable adapters (ERICSSON code RNT 1565)

Inside the MPH there is room for internal cabling to the MMU. It is possible to
tie the cables to the MPH.

The electrical interface has no extra Over Voltage Protection (OVP)

(Lightening Protection).

5.2 Internal Interface

Inside the MPH there is a mechanical interface (placed vertical) for the MMU.

Mechanical interface: One M10 pin bolt to chassis. M10 nut with washer
is also provided. This is located near the cable
inlet to the MPH.

6.1 Temperature

The equipment shall withstand following wind speed:

Operation: 50 m/s

Survival: 70 m/s

6.5 Ingress Protection of Enclosure, IP Class

The equipment shall be Ingress Proof according to IEC 60 529, IP 55.

• Degree 5 (first) protection against harmful ingress and deposits of

dust.

• Degree 5 (second) protection against splashing water from all

directions.

8.1 Dimensions

The size of the MPH is 600x320x90 mm (HxWxD) (Support not included).

8.2 Weight

The weight of the MPH is 8 kg.

8.3 Mechanical Design

The MPH is equipped with a handle as a lifting point.

10x M5 screws lock the MPH cover.

8.4 Surface Treatment

The MPH is painted in following colour:
