Shared drives

❑ Content that will be migrated from Hyperwave to OpenText includes only content that is
currently on Hyperwave

❑ Should you be making use of a shared drive to store documents, please note that these
documents will not be migrated to OpenText.

❑ If there is a need for the content on shared drives to be on OpenText, users are advised to
upload the content on OpenText when the system is live.

HyperWave to OpenText migration FAQ’s

1. Will only documents for the past 5 years on HyperWave be migrated to OpenText?

No. After the data cleansing exercise, ALL remaining content on HyperWave will be migrated to
OpenText.

2. Will the existing 240- document numbers be used in OpenText?

All documents will retain their 240- number when migrated to OpenText. However, all new
documents uploaded on OpenText will be assigned a new document UID

3. Will we be able to maintain the taxonomies as they currently are on HyperWave, on


OpenText as well?

Yes.

4. Will training be done? When? How?

Yes. User guides, training material and online training on Zenzele will be made available and
communicated in due course. 6
