Grameenphone Limited is the largest mobile telecommunications operator in Bangladesh in

term of revenue, coverage and subscriber base.
The company operates a digital mobile telecommunications network based on the GSM
standard in 900MHZ, 1800MHZ and 2100MHZ frequency bands under license granted by the
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

Grameenphone serves both rural and urban customers across Bangladesh where mobile
telephony is a major driver of socioeconomic development. The company has always been a
pioneer in introducing new products and services in the local telecom market.

rest 10.00% shareholding includes General Public and Others institutions.
4. It has invested more than BDT 313 billion to build the network infrastructure.
5. The largest taxpayer of the country having contributed more than BDT 585 billion indirect
and indirect taxes to the Government Exchequer since inception.
6. It has over 83.02 million subscribers in Bangladesh with revenue of 1.7 billion USD.
7. The headquarter of the company is situated in Dhaka with employee number of 2,086 in
