Objectives:

Start the lesson by asking students if they have ever heard of the term
"monsoon".

Explain that monsoon is a seasonal wind that brings heavy rain to certain
regions of the world.
1. Types of Monsoons (10 minutes):
Use a PowerPoint presentation to explain the different types of monsoons,
including the Southwest Monsoon, Southeast Monsoon, and North American
Monsoon.
Show pictures of each type of monsoon and explain the regions where they
occur.
1. Causes of Monsoon (15 minutes):
Explain that monsoon is caused by the difference in temperature between
land and sea.
Use a whiteboard and markers to draw a simple diagram of how the monsoon
works.
Discuss the impact of the monsoon on agriculture and the environment.
1. Effects of Monsoon (15 minutes):
Explain how monsoon affects the climate of different regions.
Show pictures of flooding and landslides caused by monsoon and discuss the
impact on people's lives.
Ask students to brainstorm ways to prepare for and cope with the effects of
